Have you noticed that OG was open below the rim right before JB was fouled for the FTs? But the Cap did not repeat the mistake!
Once again, the game from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. here. Couldn't get any sleep due to adrenalin. Off to work now - I believe I'll give some great lesson today.

Great win I thought it was over when they were down 20. KAT and OG had good games

It seems like all of our starters are capable of going off at any time.

I’ll tell you what, keeping it real, I feel bad for Towns. It seems like he wants to play good defense but he just can’t. Those two big flat feet are slow as molasses.

Guys gotta be deployed correctly. It's very simple.

Not now. Thibs finally took his hit of acid tonight by playing the bench and WINNING! There’s no going back now.

Hart was heroic in the second half, completely dominated the boards.

McBride was also key - he spearheaded the run at the end of the 3rd that brought us closer.

KAT was of course exceptional in the 4th quarter. The dunk on Nembhard was tough af.

These three were the best players of the game I thought.

OG's block on Nesmith was super satisfying. And Brunson's shot over Nesmith was key as well.

Thibs did a good playing more defensive guys (Robinson, Wright) and benching Payne entirely. Also being more pragmatic about defense-for-offense (and vice versa) substitutions down the stretch.

Also interesting to see how the well defense held up in the 4th with Brunson on the bench - the tension defensively definitely comes from having both Brunson and Towns on the court, but not either one of them.

Gritty win. These teams are so close.

Head coaches are searching all game long for that combination that clicks. No one has their finger on the pulse of this team better than Thibs … even if he’s a stubborn fck.

And to be honest, and no hate at JB, but if he doesn’t leave the game, I don’t think it happens

Thibs really needs to go, don’t care about the results anymore

Thibs showed blatant favoritism by benching KAT in Game 2. If he did the same for JB in Game 1, we would have been up 2-1.

But what is done is done. It is just ironic that the guy whom Thibs hung out to dry two days ago was the very one who saved him today. KAT put the team on his shoulders while Deuce, Delon and Landry helped push him up the stairs.

It is sad to think that this may be too late. Carlisle is too smart to lose consecutive games to an inferior coach. Quite unfortunate as I think Delon and Landry would have helped us in the Finals, especially against OKC.

Yeah this next game is gonna be hard. They’ll probably do something new at KAT and he’ll be unready for it bc Tom doesn’t think ahead.

OG is back for me. But Tom and Mikal are permanent members of my list.

I don't think we have to worry about Carlisle's game plan vs. KAT. The starters are going to freeze out KAT as they always do. I would be surprised if JB passes KAT the ball in Game 4. This is sad because KAT himself will be the one who will be campaigning for JB to get the ECF MVP, regardless of who deserves it.

Thibs should be out unless that buffoon becomes extremely lucky and manages to get carried by guys whom he ostracised to a miracle comeback vs Carlisle and the Pacers.

As to OG and Mikal, I have been going back and forth on who we have to unload for depth. Both have had their moments but they have some overlaps. Mikal is not a consistently good POA defender and we cannot let OG do that for prolonged periods given injury history. We really need a better POA defender in the starting five. KAT is a solid man-to-man defender but things really go awry when Mikal gets taken out by a simple screen.

Towns should’ve gotten the And1 on the 3 at 5:08 in the 4th.

This means absolutely nothing if we dont tie it on Tuesday. And tbf felt more like anomaly than the norm. In the first two games we were clearly the better team, not so much today. But I guess we take those.

Plus Harlan screening in our faces. To go from Breen and Clyde to this … (vomit)
