Terrence Shannon Jr Earned More Playing Time For Wolves With Big Game 3

The Minnesota Timberwolves were looking for a spark in Game 3. Rookie wing Terrence Shannon Jr. provided it. The Wolves won big and got back into the Western Conference Finals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Shannon scored 15 points in 13 minutes to help Minnesota to a blowout victory over Oklahoma City. The rookie was so good that Timberwolves coach Chris Finch is going to get him on the floor moving forward in the series.

"I’ve been wrestling with getting another guy in the rotation," Finch said. "A guy that could stretch the floor in transition, be a downhill player, got a good body, physicality. ... We kind of knew coming into the game that we were going to get to him.

"You’re definitely going to see him more."

For his part, Shannon knows what his role is when he gets his opportunity to play.

"I just feed off their energy, or if the energy is low, I bring it," Shannon said. "The way I play, the defense has to adjust to me, because I’m going so far down, going so fast and fearless downhill."
