Why are we celebrating one game now? Is he Julius Randle? We gonna make some eat crow threads every time he bounces back after he sucks?

Right. But the season is not over first of all. And second, we need this consistently from him. There shouldn’t be any games in the series where Pascal Siakam looks way better than KAT.
Y’all are acting like KAT was unfairly victimized after game 2. Nope. We’ve been waiting for this KAT all playoffs.
Well he’s averaging 26.3ppg and 11.3rpg in the conference finals on 52% shooting and 45% from 3 and you’re acting like he’s hawks julius randle or something

Nah I'm eating crow today. I ran my mouth after game 2. He sucked.
To your point I'd love to see more consistency and cutting out the dumb sht. But credit where it's due. We're still in this cause of him

He’s probably always going to be like this, but it should be good enough for 2-1
He is a different player who needs some TLC and extra coaching work to keep him fine tuned …
Brunson really hardly ever helps him … like never

Yep that was huge. Some said we’d improve rebounding by benching him for Mitch but he still got 10 rebs off the bench Mitch had 6 it’s probably a wash tbh
I’m just glad Turner missed that shot. They missed all their daggers in this one that they made at the garden

We seen this KAT in game 1 though … and several times throughout the Detroit series.
But I do agree that if KAT is this All-star/All-NBA player, 50/50 ball is unacceptable in the playoffs. We need his effort and focus to be consistent. If he knows no one on Indy can really guard him .. then go out there and dominate and win the series.
I’ll add that it’s not entirely his fault, if we stagger him and JB correctly then it’ll create more opportunities for him.

In game 1 he still picked up 5 bad fouls and we built the lead with him on the bench and commenced the choke when he came back. Towns was a +9 and Brunson was a -8. So he’s been better 2/3 games. Everyone got possessed with the -20 for game 2 and ignore when he’s positive in 1 and 3. Like when towns had the highest plus minus of any player on the team throughout the season. If we want to talk defense Brunson is 10x worse defender than even towns and Chanel is on the way with the impact metrics to prove it. Tell em ChannyB
“Commenced the choke when he came back” is an insane way to recall the events that’s transpired in Game 1. As if Nesmith making threes on KAT/OG screen actions is Brunsons fault lol.
Funny then that they weren’t doing that when he was out of the game . it was 92- 94 with 10 mins left when he picked up the 5th foul and when he came back in with 5 mins left it was 111-98 and all but wrapped up
There’s no way this is the way you think. It was 92-94 and Brunson had like 30 points at that time. So remove Brunsons offensive contributions and the Pacers are likely leading by more. You keep saying well one guy left and the team went on a run and then one guy came back and we lost the lead so it must be that one guys fault as if that’s sound logic to base anything off of it.
I’m not sure how you blame Brunson for Carlisle running a “involve KAT in high screen actions over and over again” when Brunson came back into the game. Not sure why OG didn’t scream at Brunson on the bench and not Towns since you seem to think Brunson is the one at blame.

The knicks looked a lot better in the Celtic series once KAT figured out no one could really guard him in that series either.

brunson's late game errors were on the other side of the ball. turnovers, bad clock mgmt, etc. it's quite unlike him though and just happened to be the poorest possible moment for captain clutch to have a slip up lol anyway let's stop relitigating the worst night of our lives and look to the future

i don't know. he didn't get the ball in position to score or anything. he shot 3s and drove from the top of the key. the regular stuff he does.
I didn't see anything special in the way he was fed the ball. He was just #1 on the pecking order with Brunson on the bench, and I think there was an expectation that he would carry the offense in Brunson's absence. The shotmaking was exceptional.
But they spam fed him on a heater. Brunson doesn't do that.
How many GTs are we like "keep feeding the KAT!" Yesterday, we did.

Re: PG: Saved By The KAT
KAT's inconsistency is who he is at this point. He could go back to being invisible in game 4 or have another good performance. The effort is not always there.
Brunson always gives you full effort, but his shot may be off some nights.

The only time I can remember Brunson being a part of a Towns heater was a regular season game against Boston where Towns also had 20 points in the quarter and Brunson also cooked later in that quarter. If Aaron Nesmith is going to get over screens in the way he does it would make sense for Brunson to be a decoy in the corner and just let KAT be the focal point in the offense a lot more.
