i remember saying the celtics might be harder to defend after tatum went down because our defense wouldn't have the extra time to set itself and rotate that it did with tatum on the ball. these pacers find the open man. if we win this series, it'll essentially be about figuring out how to win that game 5 blowout loss vs boston four times

Brunson always gives you full effort, but his shot may be off some nights.

He’s inconsistent but his touches are also inconsistent it’s not effort situation he just often isn’t fully utilized. Most of his attempts seem to happen when he’s playing with bench lineups he’s not even touching the ball in first quarters

I really want that game 7 win in the garden as i had initially predicted. I thought we’d end up dropping one of the first two at msg but steal one back in Indiana. Didn’t happen that way and now we have to steal both back in Indiana to knot it up. Win game 4 ffs. It ain’t over. A series doesn’t even start until someone faces elimination lfg

When Deuce picked up his 3rd foul thought we should have left him in our at least brought him back. He's not playing a ton of minutes so chances are low he will pick up 3 more. We missed Deuce a little in the first half. Brunson or KAT on the other hand you have to sit when they pick up 3 in the first half. It ended up working out though

It would be the greatest Knicks moment this century if we come back to win the series from 2-0 on the road and throw the choke sign back to Reggie and Hali

i don't know. he didn't get the ball in position to score or anything. he shot 3s and drove from the top of the key. the regular stuff he does.

I didn't see anything special in the way he was fed the ball. He was just #1 on the pecking order with Brunson on the bench, and I think there was an expectation that he would carry the offense in Brunson's absence. The shotmaking was exceptional.

But they spam fed him on a heater. Brunson doesn't do that.

How many GTs are we like "keep feeding the KAT!" Yesterday, we did.

Yes I agree with that.

I honestly thought the refs would be biased towards the Knicks since the league would benefit from the Knicks reaching the finals. I was wrong.

btw it was hard to track without game audio but how did the pacers win that out of bounds challenge? on replay it looked like the ball went nowhere near og's hands

We got down by 20 fast and did not show too many signs of life, Towns heroics in the 4th is what snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. And that doesn’t happen without Brunson fouling. Maybe if they win again I’ll think about it

I think the new starting lineup worked early in the 1st quarter. I felt the Pacers starters getting tired dealing with our size advantage. Thibs just has to be more creative with his lineup and not stick with any set rotation that would be easy for someone like Carlisle to game plan against (like automatically bringing KAT out at the 6min mark, etc.).

There's an obvious defensive issue with KAT and Brunson in together. We can mitigate this with Mitch at C over Hart and staggering them as much as possible.

But yea, we def need both offensively and they are both great players. Mix and match.

I had it muted myself so idk. I guess they were trying to say the pacers player didn’t touch it but someone else will have to chime in

Even Reggie fing Miller disagreed with them overturning the towns and 1 when Haliburton foiled him first for his 3rd foul that took him out of the game in the 2nd quarter and the Brunson 5th foul was an obvious shove off. Among many, many other things. But whatever it’s in the books

I still think OG got fouled on that shot in game 1

It’s a short term solution to a very big problem but if it gets us through this series I am more than ok with it.

OG missed a big boxout of Siakam earlier in the series. Good to see him locked in on that which then allows Hart to be an absolute maniac with no regard for his own health to get the board
