Pratt likely takes at least 1 of those spots, possibly Wilken too if he can keep up what he's done so far this year

I'm hoping some of our prospects end up being decent. And if we fall out of contention attendance will drop and so will payroll. We have a seemingly promising pipeline.

I generally try to be very realistic of the payroll and not generally complain about the "rich owner" or whatever (we've debated on here). I think it got even worse this year without the TV contract crutch this season.

I do think that they may have the ability to make a splash if these pitchers are all legit (and a few guys in the pipeline). We may have a pretty hollow 3/$75 left for Yelich and 2/$13.5 for Ashby, but otherwise I hope there's something available to spend on one big bat (at least) if they think they have a rotation of all pre-arby pitchers over the next few years.

3B/SS are holes but as mentioned I think the system has potential guys close and I think they give Ortiz another season yet unless he is ass rotten all year.

If things continue to stay middling or go south, Hoskins is a fairly obvious trade candidate.

I doubt it would happen because there are 2.5 years of control, not 1.5 or .5, but...Contreras? Catcher trades are hard to find at the deadline - but could give them another trove of players to add to the youth movement. Realistically, Contreras is exactly the guy you'd spend on with cash and prospect capital in hand in 2026 or 2027 as you rebuild, so probably not.

And DH. Yelich is now slashing .129/.176/.229 in May. More like Designated Popper Upper.

Memorial Day is typically not well attended, I can understand wanting to get a boost (although I'm not sure anyone goes to a game for 5 seconds of a first pitch).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I’d say Grounder Outer personally.

Sal Frelick has taken a step forward this year with the bat, however his defense seems to have taken a step back

-1 DRS per Baseball Savant
-.4 dWAR on Baseball Reference
-3 DRS on Fangraphs

Something to keep an eye on

The Brewers should absolutely sign Orlando Arcia to play SS/3B, if just to let Ortiz or Durbin go to AAA and get a break from the big leagues

With Quintana back soon, it makes sense to call up an extra pen arm for the week. I'm just a little surprised it's Henderson going down and not Patrick or Priester. But both Patrick & Priester have been solid so I don't think it's a huge deal

Its' fine as long as Henderson is back up for his next start. Priester has been good lately, Patrick solid but Henderson deserves to stay.

With Quintana & Woodruff both back soon I think it's more likely that one of Patrick/Priester join Henderson in AAA rather than him coming back up. That doesn't even take into account if Mis gets the call after the Super 2 deadline.

With guys, especially Woodruff, coming off injury maybe a 6 man rotation isn't the worst thing.
