You and Danny Ainge both i guess. His value isn't a early-mid lotto pick straight up though, I'm pretty sure at least. We would have seen it happen sometime because he was worth more previously, as is the case with a lot of quasi-stars coming up on the middle of their careers. We saw it with Ingram and we're seeing it with Sabonis and Zion and Lauri. So i still think those teams would need to get a little creative to get a real nice pick out of those, take bad salary and whatnot.

I think Danny had a much higher price on him. Lauri is also better than Ingram by a pretty substantial margin. Zion is obviously his own thing, were he healthy he could be the best player in the league.

Would we have? I don't think so. The Jazz have said repeatedly that, though there are no untradeable players and they would always listen to offers, they wanted to keep Lauri and that he wanted to stay. It's perfectly fine if teams (and fans) don't want to offer more for Lauri at this point, but I don't think that the vast majority of
recent proposals have much chance of being accepted by the Jazz, the ones in this thread even less so.

I don’t know if NOP would prefer to trade 7 or keep the Milwaukee picks though. Upside or realized?

I’d keep the realized value for NOP, give Ainge control of Mil picks and draft Fears (or Jak I guess) at 7.. CJM, DJM, 2026 first, 2027 swap for Sexton and Lauri.

But pretty similar offer with 7 could be made and NOP could keep the “leverage” over Milwaukee..

Yes, realized all day. We've sitting on potential forever and i know that was Griffs M.O. but not likely Dumars'. 7 is just too good, everybody loves the new thing. But your idea of:
"CJM, DJM, 2026 first, 2027 swap for Sexton and Lauri" is probably the best yet. Yours and pipfan's : "Lauri for Vuc/PWill/#12/Port pick/2027 pick (some protection, maybe only 1-4?)".
