I also thought Shamet/Wright/McBride contributed on that end as well even though the DFG% against number don't match it.
Also, I think a small thing that probably happened is that chasing Mikal around in the first half sapped Haliburton later in the game. He can't hide anywhere when we got the double bigs on the floor, eventually the dam will break and Mikal will get going against him too.
The length bothers them a bit.
and then just playing Wright and Shamet a handful of minutes where they come out and defend and give our starters a rest allows them to have more energy later in games.
Our best defensive possession came late in the 4th qtr...look at the awareness and the extra effort so late in the 4th. This doesn't happen with guys tired.
