I would consider taking Fleming over Maluach. I see him being a great 5 in the league despite being a little smaller. We're looking at being very good this upcoming year.

Grange is a team mouthpiece. Take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Best way to keep your trade assets value high... make him untouchable

We got reports that Poeltl would have been available for a high price, is that "devaluing him as an asset" when he remained at the deadline?

Or can we stop pretending like trading Dick is on the table just because the most vocal members of this board just want to trade him for the sake of it? Because the full quote is that only him and Barnes are seen as untouchable. It's pretty silly to pretend this is some 5D Connect 4 master move and not "yeah they're not going to trade him for now".

Let's also not forget that Dick was injured to end the season so if he were available, that probably hurts his value in any trade.

This is the season of Giannis watch. No one is untouchable.

I don't think they will make any big trades though. Not until midseason. But if we draft Kon the Dick watch starts

Once again reminder…

Grange was the same guy that said we were “locked in on Suggs” just before the draft

Never forget that Grange doesn’t know sh*t just like the rest of the useless media that covers the team.

I think we can all agree Grange is a joke.

So far the focus has been around players for the 39th pick.

If we draft a PG with our 9th pick, is IQ as good as gone?

No, all three are really young. Fears and Jak are essentially high school era players. None of these guys would start for a team like ours for maybe a few years. I think year 1 should be split with 905, year 2 maybe 20 minutes on a bench mob, year 3 graduate to starter.

But either way, I think IQ can play with other guards. We just need more of them. Shead and IQ won't cut it. Gradey and Walter don't have the ballhandling/passing chops. RJ can't fit into our cap structure anymore.

He seems additionally playable at the end of games.

Fleming would be a great fit next to Zion. Floor spacer who can play up and down the lineup and doesn't require the ball in the hands. One of the main problems with NO's is that they keep playing Zion next to traditional C's who can't space the floor and clog the lane.

Just thinking about swinging for the fences vs taking guys with a higher floor. Teams with multiple picks like the Nets or Wiz may be more will to swing for a guy like Noa or Joan early because they can still get a high value role player later in the first.

Toronto only has two picks which are spread apart so I think they are more likely to be win-now. Grizzlies did this last year with Edey and Wells.

Say the draft goes:

Dallas - Flagg
SA - Harper
Phi - Bailey
Cha - VJ
Utah - Kon
Wash - Fears or Queen

Tre Johnson would be available and I would be willing to trade up. #9 and Ochai Agbaji for #7 and Karlo Matkovic. BK drafts Fears or Jaku, then NO gets drafts Rasheer Fleming at #9.

If Maluch isn't drafted in the top 7, I think he lands 12-14 with Chi, Atl or SA.

Still not big on Kasp.

He looks like a homeless mans Luka. Not sure how that is going to translate to the NBA. There is only one Luka & he has the girth to make it work.

Hopefully I am wrong & Jak flourishes.

I was one of his biggest fans early in the season, but there's no way Luka struggles against NCAA competition the way Jak did later in the year. His new best case scenario for me is a bigger Dragic style guard, who would be a good pick at 9, but that's assuming he reaches that ceiling.
