i am not sure about kam jones. think its the miami heat kind of player, that one you hate not to have chosen.

also, I think Holiday, porzingis and hauser are all traded.
hope we are out of 2 apron, we can use MLE and we can sign Luke.
and would love to trade for Knecht and put him there with Scheierman both coming from the bench.
Also hope to see horford one more year with us, perfect as a preceptor for Lendeborg.

I am all in on Lendeborg.

I really am starting to like this guy a bunch.

I would not mind that combo at all.

Lendeborg is super long but also balanced on offense and defense. Could see him playing and contributing as a rookie.

Philon is a top talent who might struggle with the physicality on the NBA but I love his ball handling and downhill style of play. Much needed on this team.

Maybe. But we haven't worked either of them out yet. At least not according to the reports where workouts get leaked to the public/media.

Last year we drafted 2 guys and both of them were on those workout reports for us (baylor, Watson). Year before that we drafted 1 guy and it was someone we had in for a workout twice (Walsh).

Yeah before that we did not workout JD ahead of the draft but that was the 53rd pick so it didn't matter as much. A pick this year in the 28-32 range, I'm sure whoever we take would be someone we have in for a workout.

Begarin we had in for a workout too.

We've only had 5 guys in for a workout so far though this year and 1 of them (haggerty) withdrew from the draft. So at this point I would say that the 4 guys we've brought in have a better chance at getting drafted by us than the guys we have not worked out.

Also, there's still about another month until the draft. We worked out 40 prospects last year but only 5 so far this year. So of course, we'll be bringing in more prospects for workouts over the next few weeks. As that happens and as new names get added to our workout list, the likelihood of those players being drafted by the Celtics will go up quite a bit. Until then, I wouldn't be too certain about guys we haven't worked out being drafted by us..

Not saying we can't talk about other prospects of course. I just wouldn't use words that convey such certainty or confidence that X player or Y player will be picked by us.

We need a Philon type of talent but I just don't see it with the Way Boston plays under Joe. That and there are just other players I would like more.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Yeah. I liked him but also had my doubts since he shot 3's on such low volume so I wasn't sold on the shooting..and he played 0 games this season vs a high major team so this way he goes to Michigan and can prove himself for a full season vs better competition.

Boo! Hiss! Yaxel wasn’t first on my list, but a nice fallback if everyone else was gone. Probably what teams told him, lol, so he said gimme NIL instead!

All true, but the flip side to that is had he proven himself against really good competition. It's possible he'd be long gone anyhow

He seemed like a good bet to me in the draft but I started to not love the fit. Ie, felt like maybe he could develop into a John Collins style player with maybe more upside on the defensive end but also the obvious risk that all prospects carry to not get anywhere close to their upside overall.

Otoh I like a 4/5 for this team but one that has more heft or strength potential than JT - just started to feel like for all of this guy's potential his role is filled by a lot better player already in Boston.

disappointing.
he couldve been in the mix for us or also could have pushed another player down, for us to take or get max value if we trade down

All the withdrawals are not so great for us this year, but may pan out for us next year when Celtics are likely picking higher... assuming we have a first next year.
