No disrespect to OKC and Indiana, but the Finals would be so much more exciting if the Knicks are in it.
I doubt we see any celebs at a OKC vs Indiana Finals even tho that would be a great matchup for a diehard fan.
Why does a celebrity being there change anything? Celebrity worship is weird.
We live in a social media world. Having celebrities at games helps grow the league. Those celebs have fans and they will tune in just to see them sitting on the sidelines.
Sort of like how the NFL made Taylor Swift a major part in their brand. Her fans travel and they get new viewership just by being associated with her brand.
It sounds weird, but this is how most of society thinks. Everything is about marketing and having celebs representing and supporting your product matters.
NY being in the finals means more eyeballs because NY is flooded with celeb Knicks fans.
Society is just the word we use to describe all of us as a whole, society only cares about celebs if enough individuals care. You care about them being there, a lot of us don’t.
