John Konchar, 48th Overall Draft Pick and 2027 Hawks 2nd to the Kings via the Kevin Huerter TPE
The Kings add another pick in this draft (they only have 1 in the entire draft right now) plus a future 2nd to take on a vet at a salary that doesn't hurt too bad.
The Grizzlies gain even more flexibility in their negotiations with JJJ by creating some cap space for themselves to extend with.

Konchar is a legend and fans favourite in Memphis, but we need cap space

Can't see this for sac. Owner has made it clear he won't tank, so they should be looking at players who can actually play.
Even if we went full tank, I feel like there's a better use of this tpe.

Konchar + 2nd to DET for Fontechio into room exception.
I don't get why this is needed though, they have 17 mil in cap space, they can bump JJJ to 40, this will give them ability to extend on 4 year max.

According to Spotrac, yes...

Right now we have roughly 6 million including Aldama's cap hold and need to get close to 22 million to give JJJ his max. We have to dump Konchar to get close to a number JJJ would take and either release Aldama or dump Clarke as well.
Konchar is a 8-9th level rotation player for most teams, the notion he is unplayable is wrong.

Sac should be using their tax space to improve the team in bigger ways than Konchar.
Memphis should sit on Konchar and hopefully use his contract (with a vet min or two) to bring in a guy around the MLE once they used their cap space.
Don’t see it for either team.

How much do you expect Aladama to command? If 26/3 is enough, which I think it is, waive his caphold and sign him with the room exception.

I think he will likely have a few full MLE offers, I would say something like 3/35 would be on the cheap side. Regardless Konchar is more than likely going to be dump to get JJJ a big enough raise. The idea is give JJJ his full max available now so he can possible shave a little on the back end. But even he doesn't the idea is just to get him locked up now.

I can see Detroit or Brooklyn easily offering Aldama more
