There were some people on the board extrapolating what the trash bag fans did to the fanbase generally but those weren't the board's Pacer fans.

It also doesn't help that Whiteland and Whitestown...two indy suburbs with multiple signs on the interstate...having such similar names makes you feel like you've gone through a wormhole while driving through Indy and ended up coming out of it headed in the same direction you came from

To me it was one of those things that it wasn't cool but it wasn't exactly the end of the world either. Just a big nothing, really. Could have been a lot worse .... like the stabbing.
