He really needs to go full tilt and start referring to himself in the 3rd person.

"Sometimes you really can't say why Julius does what he does. But you've also gotta ask why Julius isn't getting the ball in rhythm early in the game."

I don't know. I feel like there's an element of self-awareness and truth there, and that's pretty much the first step. I don't see anything wrong with his words. I'm also kind of inclined to give him a little bit of a pass so far. Still doesn't change the fact that he and Ant Man need to step up if they want to win but OKC's defense is historically good.

I think the important thing is to see how he responds. He might be sucking but there are other ways to impact the game too.

Considering the Wolves and Knicks are in pretty much the same condition right now, I'm curious what a poll of the board would be to the question:

Would you rather have Julius (admitting he's had 2 horrible shooting games) or KAT vs the Pacers? Does JR add anything we really need now vs. the Pacers? Muscle? Does he play better D than Kat?

1. Julius
2. KAT
3. "Meh - makes no difference."
and I guess I should add JR & DDV if the trade had not happend so...
4. Julius AND DDV

I was going to pick 3 till I remembered we'd also have DDV which would sway me to #4.

Curious for the board's takes on this.

This is gonna be the discussion? Without the KAT trade how does this team perform this year? Are we removing Mikal too? FTR both players were integral to our early season success.

Who plays center? Does DDV Start? Randles extension? Etc etc.

I didn't like the KAT trade initially. I wanted Mikal but, we overpaid. I wanted to run back last year and add Mikal. Unfortunately, Shart left. We pivoted.

This year's team is absolutely not a Thibs type roster. That has been the biggest issue all season. Hands down. The defense didn't work without Mitch. He doesn't run an offense so, no one sees a problem there? He doesn't use a bench. He does nothing that approaches coaching up his roster. Nothing.

If he is here next season and we aren't a better team, expect the descent back to lol Knicks to be fast and furious. That's my take. The media will be butt hurt for buying in. The ones who didn't will just be even more smug. Thibs will be on the hottest seat ever.

I like this roster. I see potential. I think we need a better coach. I don't care who we kept or who we trade moving forward. We need a new HC.
