Barnes, Keldon Johnson, and 14 is a fine value for Markkanen based on just how terribly he played last season.

Obviously the Jazz will not do this because this would be a humiliation for them and show that they ruined their returns from the Mitchell and Gobert trade.

Markkanen missed 35 games last year due to back injuries and being willing to throw games, is on a 28%+ contract, and had a -0.3 (!!!) BPM last year. He's not a valuable player right now.

Really dumb take.

He's just not valuable currently, he sucked last year considering his contract!

Jaylen Brown and Lauri Markannen to San Antonio

Jrue Holiday and Harrison Barnes to Utah along with Bostons #28 and a future pick from San Antonio

The math is way off on this one.

idk but i'm sure the grizz would jump at the chance to get Barnes if he's moved in a Lauri deal and the jazz didnt want him .

Who was our starting PG? He also was told to focus on other aspects of his game. Missed games? Pretty sure Utah was fined for his phantom injuries. If we cannot get a top 5 pick for him then keep him and let him play like a madman next season to increase his value.

That’s a lot of money for the role he’d probably play in San Antonio. Think there are cheaper ways to achieve the same goal for the Spurs. Zinger for one

Spurs can get Markkanen easily. Just give 2 first round picks. 14th this year and one from future. Then you can throw in two of Vassell, Barnes and Keldon Johnson. Maybe both teams add one young player.

I don't think one 1:st round pick is enough. After all he is all star and had multiple good years. Last year was bad and he is over paid, but until Wemby get his big paycheck Spurs have money to spend.

I doubt any Lauri trade happens this summer because Ainge will be selling a 25 ppg MIP award winner and All Star and other teams are buying a guy coming off a back injury.
