The break down of trade
Hornets get Pick # 20 for 3 SRP
Heat get 27 1st back for Jaquez

Not going to do the lineups we all should know what positions they are and role they would play(or not Terry!) 2 expiring for 1, heat have cost control with the 34th pick. Have 11m room under tax to sign Mitchell.
Chicago either sign #33 or use the freed up roster spot on a FA.
Have used the “touch” rule for 3 way trade. ✅

no for Charlotte. The 3 2nds for #20 feels about right on value. I would not trade Miami's future 1st for Jaquez, wouldn't even think about it
investigate Adam Silver

20 > 3 seconds. 33+34 = pick 27 or so at best

We are not trading a pick and Jaquez to get rid of the massive expiring of Roizer. Keep the pick. In some crazy world, you guys don't end up below us in the standings as always. I'm sure you'll enjoy that bench player.

What kills me is everyone devalues Miami's future picks until they have one. Then it's like gold. Lol!
In all honesty though, this trade wouldn't be enough for me to give up that pick, either.

The Bulls would be fine with Collins and Smith at the 5 with a 3rd guy. What they don't want is to trade a lose cost possible buyout Carter and end up with an overpaid guy who maintains the guard glut with a one dimensional Rozier. He would be behind Giddey, White, Ball, Huerter, Dosunmu, prevent them from resigning Tre Jones and if they drafted a guard him too.

Ooh, Celtics at #28 could be interested in that. Going from #28 to an early 2nd saves $1.7M on the year 1 cap hit of the contract and the extra pick could be helpful in salary dump deals (maybe even dealt for multiple future 2nds to so it stretches even further).

Why did you ignore the biggest value the Heat got out of this deal? Hate every deal for the Heat you want, you always do, but at least have the decency to hate the actual deal posted. Nothing more lame than misrepresenting a deal then taking a little shot at another team because someone dares to have a different opinion from you....

Yeah, it is a sweetheart of a deal for Miami. I don't even like Vuc next to Bam, but he could easily be flipped, and getting all that flexibility by getting that pick back would be massive.

My response was sharp based on the acting like they have some gold mine. The pick would give us flexibility in trading more picks, but we still would not be in the convo for any big player, as several teams have like half the picks of every team for the next decade. Juc is David Lee, empty stats, fools gold, not worth a first (at least if the FO is smart). I would not want his no-defense self on my team. And I'm not exactly sure if we can flip him for anything that won't be returning longer-term money back or a bad contract, which I have no interest in. So we'd be giving up the pick this year, giving up Jaquez, to essentially get one pick back. At least for me, I'd rather not.
And yes, I do not like most trade ideas we are thrown in. Generally, I feel our players get very undervalued and disrespected. We're told our picks are worth nothing (until someone has one of ours) and that our players are trash (but then when another team picks them up it's "The Heat are fools for letting us get this guy)

I'd work on the victim complex mate. Will make the board a much better place for you if you don't assume everyone hates your players because they are your players.
Do you ever ask yourself which is more likely? A random poster or a collective board all have some anti-Miami agenda or maybe I overvalue our stuff because I'm a fan. Once you realize Occam's Razor tells you its the latter, you don't have to come into every proposal thinking its anti-Miami.
And even better then you don't have to remove a bunch of value going to Miami and then telling the other poster they are undervaluing your stuff because you know, you removed the value you get.
Food for thought anyway
