Can you please break down the trades?
knecht for?
Gafford for?
We also have additional pick
I think we can get picks/future picks for KP and Jrue
Also, Luke said he'll sign the min to stay
I like Nance as an FA

Knecht for say Hauser would be interesting. If you’re going to trade him though I’d love to trade him to Miami for Jacquez.

Few trades just cause I like making them.
Brown to Atlanta for Mann, Jalen Johnson and Pick #13
Kristaps to Atlanta for Okongwu and Niang
Hauser to Atlanta into a TPE for 2027 First rounder least favorable of NOP and Milwaukee.
Trades drops 25.2 million
Jrue/Pritchard
White/Mann
Scheierman/Walsh
Johnson/Niang
Okongwu/Kornet
Porzingis and Hauser (TPE) to Lakers
Dorian Finney Smith to Charlotte
Mark Williams, Dalton Knect and Jarred Vanderbilt to Boston
Drops 19 million
Jrue/Pritchard
White/Scheierman
Knect/Walsh
Vanderbilt/
Williams/Kornet
Kristaps to Magic
Wendell Carter Jr and Jonathan Isaac to Charlotte
Mark Williams, Anthony Black and Josh Green to Celtics
Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis to Memphis
JJJr, Bane, GG Jackson and Konchar to Boston
Saves 17.5 million
Jrue/Pritchard
White/Konchar
Bane/Sheirman
Hauser/Jackson
JJJr/Kornet
Jrue Holiday to Sacramento
Jonas Valanciunas, Demar Derozan and Sam Hauser (TPE) to Lakers
Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura, Maxi Klebr, 2026 Lakers 1st and a Sacramento 2026 1st to Boston
Sheds 10 million and requires follow up dump of Klebr (11 million) and now have extra picks to make that happen. (but a big need for a backup big forward)
White/Pritchard
Brown/Scheierman
Knecht/Walsh
Hachimura/???
Kristaps/Kornet
Kristaps Porzingis to New Orleans
Herb Jones and Kelly Olynyk to Celtics
(Obviously still need additional moves)

Re: Free Agent, Trade, Buyout, Extension & Conversion Thread, 2025 con't
LAst one for today.
Jrue and Taylor Hendricks to Kings (Kings get a needed PG and a good defensive young PF)
Jonas Valanciunas and Sam Hauser to Lakers (Lakers get shooting and a bigman)
Kristaps Porzingis and Demar Derozan to Jazz (Jazz actually try to compete for a change with a KP, Markannen and Demar trio)
John Collins, Jared Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht, KJ Martin and Walker Kessler to Boston
Saves 18 million, Collins is an expiring shedding another 26.5 million in offseason next year.
White/Pritchard
Brown/Scheirman
Knecht/Martin/Walsh
Collins/Vanderbilt/Horford?
Kessler/Kornet/Queta
I actually think that team can cause some damage, with lots of minutes going to Knecht and Scheierman to let them mature into better players.

OK, 1 more
Brown and Kuzma to Philly
Jrue and Paul George to Milwaukee
Damian Lillard, Jaren McCain and Kelly Oubre Jr and the Number 3 to Boston
White/Pritchard - Dame
McCain/Scheierman
Ace Bailey (#3) / Hauser
OubreJr/
Kornet/Queta
A much worse team, but betting on Tatum Dame and Ace working out along with one of McCain and Sheierman hitting as well.

Re: Free Agent, Trade, Buyout, Extension & Conversion Thread, 2025 con't
Salary dump Hauser into a TPE/MLE
Trade Porzingis to ORL for WCJ (anything else they send gets dumped or rerouted elsewhere)
Trade Jrue to DAL or SAC in a deal that nets Klay Thompson and reroutes everyone else to other teams
That gets you under the tax next year (25-26) with Tatum out and I think you can do it without giving up any future 1sts. It leaves you over the tax for 26-27 (how much so depends on exactly where our pick lands), but with a $17M expiring Klay Thompson on the books that's pretty easy to maneuver with. You have Tatum coming back to a top 5 unit of:
Pritchard / White / Brown / Tatum / WCJ
plus Schierman, this year's draft picks, next year's draft picks (which should be mid 1st, maybe lottery even), whatever return you get for Klay Thompson's expiring dela (ok to include future picks again with Tatum back), and then you'd be a pretty attractive vet min destination too. If they've drafted well, that should be a "puncher chance" type of team for him to come back to. And the tax would be reset.
That sets you up to go back to totally championship focused again in 27-28. Spending power completely reloaded with repeater tax rates avoided. Hopefully some young players to use in trades. Flexibility to go back to attaching future picks in deals.

In honor of Larry Russell (so many bad trades in so short a time period) The Trade God,
I want to propose my own questionable deal: White, Hauser and 28 to Philly for 3 and
whatever Cap Crap they have to take back (keep or ship to other clubs) to make the Trade viable...

Three team trade of the day:
Boston In: Hield, Santos, Jackson-Davis, 2030 GS 2nd round pick, 2027 Mil 2nd round pick, 2028 NYK 2nd round pick
Boston Out: Porzingis
Golden St In: Porzingis
Golden St Out: Hield, Moody, Santos, Jackson-Davis, 2030 GS 2nd round pick
Detroit In: Moody
Detroit Out: 2027 Mil 2nd round pick, 2028 NYK 2nd round pick
Celtics cut Santos and Jackson-Davis. Celtics left with Hield, (3) 2nd round picks and $21.7 million in cap savings.
I think Brad Stevens is going to have a lot more options than people think.

Our player are sought after. Jrue, Hauser, White are a plus. KP is questionable getting a good return back, but eventually other GMs will do it

going to be hilarious when Brad figures out a way to cut over 20m off the cap while also making the team competitive (top 4 in East in JT's absence) then better once Tatum returns.

Yeah, I don't understand why some say Celtics would have to give away picks so that teams will take Jrue and KP.
I believe Jrue will have takers.
KP is certainly not Ben Simmons.

Remove Jrue and KP and replace them with Cam Johnson and Gafford and you get what you are wishing for.

My thing with KP is he has shown to be really effective when healthy. Yes his health is a big issue. But since he is expiring and he can really help when available, I am thinking and hoping Boston can net a positive return somehow.

KP/#28/#32 to BK for Cam Johnson/Noah Clowney
subsequent trade. Sam Hauser to BK for a future 2nd rd pick. They absorb him in their space.
Jrue/White/Brown/Johnson/Horford (re-signed)
Prichard/Scheierman/Clowney
**Tatum
Would need to round out the roster and find a couple affordable FA's that can play

By keeping Jrue, removing 20m can't be achieved.
What I want to see by March 2026:
Gafford
Tatum
Cam Johnson
Jaylen Brown
DWhite
PP as the 6th man
