What does a Michael Porter Jr to GSW trade looks like?
I see the Warriors have the highest betting odds of landing him and it has me thinking what would a deal look like? is it a deal worth pursuing and what will the cost look like? Would Denver have to attach a future first round pick to him? is it he really damage good? Would the Warriors think about on-boarding him? let me know what you think guys?

Given the Warriors salary situation, it feels completely impossible to do. Not really worth considering.
Most deal options are going to hard cap GS at the 1st apron, and you can't build a credible roster under that with the contracts for Curry/Butler/Draymond/Porter.

doesn't feel possible financially unless it's coupled with a Kuminga S&T to a 3rd team (and he'd have to be VERY overpaid). The Warriors just don't have that much expendable salary after trading most of it for Butler.
investigate Adam Silver

It is impossible unless they are trading Draymond (Who is better and makes less than MPJ), Butler or Curry.

As much as I'd love a big sharpshooting wing, it just seems like he'd be hard to realistically acquire

maybe Detroit or Brooklyn get involved in a 3 way?

it's seriously not possible unless Kuminga gets like $35M/year, even if the Warriors attach Moses Moody. it's honestly not worth discussing because of BYC rules

I just wanted to say, if I was to gamble, this is the type of thing I would gamble on.
While I might not more than Vegas on traditional sports results, we all know a whole lot more than they do on the implications of the aprons.

This. Curry/Butler/MPJ/Draymond alone would be at like $178M. Even if you use a S&T Kuminga to make up the bulk of the outgoing salary, that still leaves you with only ~$30 million to fill out 10 roster spots (and that's if you're only triggering the second apron).

you cant go above 2nd apron if u receive something back in a S&T

Yeah that was my point. We'd only have $30M to fill out 10 roster spots in the best case scenario (and if we're taking on salary in the deal that number drops to like $18M)

Yeah if I could short MPJ to the Warriors I'd bet my mortgage on it.

links from aggregation sites about betting odds are the lowest form of "rumor". To tell you how little stock I put into this, I would take the latest Gambo report over this. Gambo.

If I had to bet on this, I would easily throw my money on Portland out of all those teams.

If you aggregate players and still take back more then 100% aren’t you hard capped at first apron?

Tangent, but I like his fit in PHX assuming he takes KD's role.
Nuggets don't really have much in the way of assets so any blockbuster of Curry+Green+ for Murray+MPJ seems DOA
I don't think with the recent extension they can trade Butler for him (though that would be the most logical path)
Looking at the numbers, I would say that the cleanist path is something like Moody and Kuminga (sign and traded elsewhere 20M range)
Having said that, Warriors would be continuing to mismanage the end of Curry's prime with this sort of thing...

There’s only one guy on the Nuggets we would consider trading Curry for, and we all know who that is and why that isn’t happening

That was more of a "life-time-achievement award, we are letting Curry go and have fun, but we are at least getting a rebuild packge" type thing.
Again, got gonna happen.

Yup. Taking back more than 100% in salary or receiving a player via sign and trade enacts a hard cap at the first apron. Aggregating, or sign and trading a player away and receiving a contract in return enacts a hard cap at the second apron.
