1) is Bridges a borderline all-star? Or did he have a run similar to what Quentin Grimes did in Philly over a 3 month period?
2) No one is giving up a 1st rd pick for Kolek, Dadiet or Hukporti. MAYBE you can get a late 1st for Mitch or Duce, but it's far form guaranteed.
Leon has put us in a very tough spot with a second tier team that has no assets and no flexibility. His hope was that things would line up one year. It did and it was enough to get to a conference finals where we had no chance of winning. Welcome to the Dame player on the court, Suns east in terms of picks/payroll.
The solution is trade KAT.
For who?
Doesn't change the fact that Bridges and Anunoby are not secondary scoring options on championship teams.

The two guys that help cover for Brunson and KAT’s flaws the most?
Man I hope they win game 5

You put a guy next to Brunson who can let JB play off ball more and who can pick up the oppositions point of attack. Double down on defense and on Brunson. Then, Carter Jr. and Bidatze help defensively and with our depth. Mikal and OG can get more touches and more of an offensive role than they currently have.
2) KAT, Hart, WAS 1st for Lauri, Sexton, Kessler, and filler
Utah lost out on Flagg. The fanbase can't take tanking for much longer. KAT can get you 30/10 as your centerpiece and he'll fill those seats. For us, we get a Center rotation of Mitch/Kessler which ought to clean up lots of our defensive woes and having bigs who can set picks next to JB only enhances his performance. Lauri seems like a nice fit next to OG/Mikal/JB.
3) KAT, Dadiet for Sabonis, Cater, Ellis
Sabonis / Mitch becomes your center rotation. Sabonis is a better defender than KAT but not by a huge amount. He's also on a more reasonable contract and a better facilitator like iHart was for us. I think the fit with OG/Brunson/Mikal would be better than it is with KAT. We also get Ellis who can slot in at starting guard next to Brunson and be our point of attack lead defender.
4) KAT, Hart for McCollum, Jones, Murphy
I think Murphy is an absolute stud and would love to add him to the mix to start next to Brunson. Jones then becomes our 6th man. McCollum is an expiring who can be flipped or who can be our 7th man for a season. Mitch, OG, Mikal, Murphy, Brunson is a total "built-around Brunson" type of team.

KAT, a year ago, went for an expiring much maligned Julius Randle/DDV and a 1st. These proposals seem to indicate his value has increased and im not sure why it would. Same as last year he's had a solid season and even had some really good playoff games until he was ultimately exposed in the CF's. No team is gonna pay more for him than the Knicks did a year ago

KAT made an all-star team, an all-nba team, and his numbers improved across the board. Also, he helped to lead another team to the conference finals. I would say his value has increased around the league.

His numbers compared to last year arent too dissimilar, but yes, theyre better. But he's also had better numbers than this season in other years of his career. He has done nothing to make anyone believe he's any different than he was last year. A highly paid star who's also very exploitable in the playoffs. You really think this season took him from Randle/DDV value to Jones/Murphy or to Lauri/Kessler? Towns is what he is...he didnt show anything the league didnt know he had

What's so special about Lauri/Kessler and Jones/Murphy's values that they dwarf KAT's in any way? Those guys leading their teams to the lotto year after year while KAT has been mostly good in the playoffs the last two seasons. There are plenty of teams that would want KAT as a centerpiece type player to get them to the playoffs. Not every team is title or bust.
