I never got on board with him at 17 and I really doubt he would be there at 31. So a non-issue to me.

Yep, Lendenborg is out. A bummer, but oh well.

Yaxel out of the draft. Dreams shattered.
Alex Condon going back to Florida too, one less option at 31.
Guess I'm on the Rasheer Fleming bandwagon now. Backup plan Egor Demin or trade down.
Presti will take the player who would have been best for us at 15 now anyway

I would love if Egor fell to us. Unfortunately he killed it at the combine:
Intel and fit: Demin had a positive week at the combine in Chicago, measuring bigger than expected at 6-9½ in shoes and then putting on one of the most impressive pro day performances we've seen in some time, causing even the most skeptical of NBA evaluators to acknowledge his undeniable talent.
Demin has made significant gains with his body and will continue to fill out, while making a barrage of 3-pointers with picture-perfect mechanics and a lightning-quick release that offered significant room for optimism despite hitting 27% of his 3-pointers in his lone season at BYU. Also, NBA teams raved about his interviews in Chicago.

I believe most of them will be available at pick 17 and that is where Tim Connelly needs to earn his huge paycheck by picking the very best one.

Fleming's shooting chart looks a lot like Naz Reid's...

Yeah, both were along my favourite candidates for #17 and #31. Other names that should be available around 17 and 31
17th:
Coward
Newell
Essengue
Saraf
Traore
McNeeley
Riley
31th:
Hansen Yang
Raynaud
Thiero
Beringer
Kalkbrenner
Penda (???)
Kobe Sanders
Alex Toohey
Tyrese Proctor
Niederhauser
Zikarsky
I feel like there are still plenty of option for BPA both at 17 and 31.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Thread: Detroit Pick Edition
Naz Reid is a great comparison for Fleming, all he is missing is a little better handle.
He's a little bit of a BBIQ risk too though just like Naz.
I hate every single player you listed there at 17.
I would rather trade down 7-10 spots to take Kalkbrenner or Reynaud and pick up future assets than draft any of those players.

If CMB is there at 17, I think he'd be a fantastic value. Such a good player, just have questions about his shooting ever getting there. Probably cant ever play him and Rudy together, and he's only about 6'8. I'm not sure who he reminds me of. Little bit of Randle, little bit of a Paul Millsap, little bit of Draymond.

CMB projected 10th on Tankathon. Unlikely to be there at 17.

10 feels a bit too rich for him, I think that the late lottery/mid 1st is the right range for him, somewhere between 12 and 19. I don't personally like him enough at this point for us to take him though, his game feels too limited from what I've seen.

I was hoping Lendeborg and Pettiford would stay in and go in the late 20s, which would have pushed a couple of guys out of the 1st round and added more options at 31.

Hes someone who's all over on big boards I've seen. Some have him really high and others later in the 1st.

Well... Fleming does not have guards skills at all. This is an X-factor for his development. Right now he is an undersized 5 in NBA.

Yeah, but keep in mind that some players I listed did not participate in Draft Combine like Essengue and Saraf who are still playing in German League playoffs. Also I feel like either way there will be one very good prospect who will fall out of lottery and be available at 17th, and one very good prospect who will fall out of first round and be available at 31th. I will like TC will be in a good position to showcase his vision and ability to identify talents

I have read that he might got a promise from one team in 1st round.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
