1) I was so wrong about the Liberty savoring their title and cruising through the regular season. This team is acting like the 2016 Warriors, which followed its first championship with a 74 win regular season. They mean business and Cloud is a nasty addition to an already loaded team. Who can play with them? The Lynx, a healthy Fever, and maybe the Aces?

2) Paige is it. She's going to be a perennial MVP candidate, sooner rather than later.

Agreed on Paige. She looks really good out there. If she can get a big stronger than it will open even more. Very impressed with her poise and ability to adjust to the speed of the game.

If I'm trying to build a team, I'll take a pass on Arike. Live with a gunner, die with a gunner. But she sure is entertaining when her shot is on.

When she's on she's amazing. The inefficiency is a legit criticism.

You can rush Caitlin, you can rush Angel, but you can't rush Paige!

One of the funnest things so far about this season is how Stewie and Natasha Cloud constantly goof on each other

Also, Tasha is Eastern Conference player of the week

It's a good problem to have but I don't envy Sydney dealing with the Mystics front court rotation.

They've got 5 that should all be getting heavy minutes when healthy.

Kiki was meant to be the 4th big. Then played like a rookie of the year candidate while Edwards and Austin were out.

Unfortunately, Mystics never stay healthy, but it's a tough call when they are.

Fuddruckers commercial on the Mystics broadcast. I thought that franchise went out of business 20 years ago

Shakira has unmatched athleticism for her size. When healthy looks like she can be one of the best bigs in the league. Aaliyah is fantastic. Love Big Mama and Engstler. Loaded.

But watching this team, as loaded as they are in the frontcourt, it just always feels like a mistake anytime Kiki is not out there.

I missed the game last night. Went to wnba.com and the headline was about Sykes led the Mystics to victory. I looked up her box score. she went 6-17 with 7 TOs. Hmmm. t any rate, a fine overall game from Washington and very promising once again from their rookies. What catches they were.

Mystics turn the ball over more than any team outside of the Sky and Valkyries.

Sykes and Melbourne are fantastic players, but reckless and not great passers. Along with Sug Sutton, they are all definitely net positives, but the Mystics just don't have a true PG.

Amoore and Sykes would have been a really fun set of starting guards to see play together with this team.

Just noticed Citron is currently at 50-40-90. Only 6 games and obviously who knows if she'll do it, but it's possible for her (came close at ND last year). I'll forever be irritated in people saying she had limited upside. 50-40-90 potential in a good defensive player with solid size for the position? What more do people want?

No Jonquel with 10 turnovers and not halfway through the 2nd quarter for the Liberty. By far the worst they've looked this season before the dreaded 3rd quarter.

GSV won't make the Playoffs, but they play hard and seem to have a plan.

Won't happen this year, but I'm a big fan of what Nakase and bunch have cooking.

And Salaun could end up being really good.
