It’s funny that Sham’s is perpetuating this false fantasy of Giannis going to a big market team when none of those big market teams would even be in the running if we were to trade him. And then every comment on every Sham’s tweet is just some morons saying “COME TO THE WARRIORS” like that’s how it works.

You knew how bad Shams would be once he joined ESPN. Shams, McAfee, Smith. They're (and several others) why I watch only games on ESPN, never anything else. ETA, they've had some good 30 for 30's.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If Giannis for some reason demanded a trade only to the Warriors, I’d sooner let him play out the next two years and lose him for nothing just to spite the Warriors and ensure Steph is two years older before Giannis got there. I’d also refuse any sign and trade so they’d have to figure out how to clear a max cap slot.

This is more a message for Warriors fans than anything because Giannis even if he asks for a trade won’t demand a specific team.

It’s just weaselly the way it’s worded too, just enough to make it sound like something while being totally meaningless. Giannis is open to the possibility of one day thinking about his future, okay thanks. Smdh

If I was forced to either watch the Pat McAfeee show or listen to someone scratch on a chalkboard for 2 hours.

I might honestly choose the chalkboard.

Giannis is not leaving.

But I think Giannis will wait until the last possible second to make it clear that he's not leaving Milwaukee because he enjoys trolling the national media and making them look like a bunch of clowns.

IMO the better troll job would be getting in front of it immediately and claiming they were all wrong

I mean the real play is for Giannis to say nothing (after assuring Horst and the owners internally) then wait until next offseason and trade Dame’s expiring plus 31 and 33 picks and 32 swap for another running mate or two from one of the teams needing to duck the second apron.

Heck, it might even be better if he says he’s going to explore free agency. Then in October 26, sign the extension and enjoy the LOLZ.

They did this before when he wanted to extend until after the Jrue trade. He also didn’t sign his extension until after the Dame trade.

When I was in Greece last year every single Greek knew of Milwaukee. First time I didn't have to explain where that was when I was overseas. Greece was dope also and I didn't even hit any islands.

I think it definitely helps to say nothing. Let the league prepare and put in man hours for a situation that will never materialize.

I was on a boracay Philippines holiday and our group bumped into a bunch of greek ladies also on holiday.

They all knew Milwaukee. It was cool. I'm still friends with a couple of them that was 2 yrs ago.

I did not love my first Greek uber driver watching the Greek League while driving me to downtown Athens but i respected the hustle.

That might spite the Warriors but it would also spite Giannis, because only he would request trade to Warriors or some specific team which wouldn’t have as many assets to offer as OKC or Houston.

It would also tell future stars about how the team treats one of its greatest players.

If after what Dallas did to Luka, Flagg is already saying he’s looking forward to playing for the Mavs, I’m not too worried about what it looks like for future stars.

If Giannis demands a trade to a team with no assets, then no reason to not burn the whole thing to the ground. I’m not doing favors to other teams.

Not like he’s on a social media break.

If a decision has been made then the rollout at least is still being worked on.

As it stands Shams / Haynes / Marc Stein all have reports about a decision TBD that are going almost entirely unanswered beyond bits from Jim O and TMZ chasing Doc down.

Why should he tamp them down though?

If teams are trying to put together offers, that's time they're not spending on other avenues, on which the Bucks can operate with less competition.

Again, why? That only serves us fans.

If they're cagey, every team thinking they have a chance can spend brainpower trying to come up with a package, while the Bucks can operate in the shadows.

I also think giannis is used to all this nonsense, its been going on forever and he shouldn't feel pressured by the whims of the media to make a statement.

Also it probably keeps a bit of pressure on Horst and company to not be lazy and keep pushing, so without giannis putting pressure, the media does it for him.

I was in Greece visiting family last August and in the bigger cities I actually saw quite a few Giannis #34 jerseys. Usually, the NT ones but even some Milwaukee Bucks versions.

He did say if he's healthy he wants to play for the NT in this year's Eurobasket tournament but I haven't read anything regarding that.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS
