If Daigneault didn't have that brain fart in Game 1 of the second round, they would have beaten Denver in 5 games too. This team was a cut above the West all season. And won the conference in the offseason with the Caruso trade and the Hartenstein signing. Presti finally stopped fooling around and went all-in.

Yeah, that match-up has no appeal to dumb casuals so i understand where you’re coming from.

It has the risk of being a quick finals. Once again.

Respect to Ant and Julius for displaying good sportsmanship after this ass whopping. Lebron wouldn’t have done the same.

I don’t think KD has the mentality any longer to really compete for rings. I think he’s probably happy with his two.

Not to mention the Wolves can't get KD for scraps.

There's already rumors of mutual interest with the Spurs and we know HOU was/is interested so MIN doesn't have any good draft capital so that's already incredibly unlikely but also means the starting point to the discussion will involve Jaden McDaniels and if MIN removes their best wing defender and now that workload falls on an old KD or on Ant, it's not gonna get better.

In reality the TWolves are pretty f'd with that Gobert trade. Although Rudy is obv valuable defensively, there's not much wiggle room without any draft picks to fill out the roster with the necessary depth and they actually have a lot of holes ie/ a heir apparent PG to old man Conley, more 3+D players and a reliable 2nd option scorer.

They'll likely never close the gap between themselves and the Thunder, although it's hard to see anyone really doing that right now.

This is surreal, crazy that it's been 13 years already. I remember the last time we made it I couldn't wait to see the first Big 3 run it back.

OKC just a class above anyone. Not sure Indy(or NY) win more than a game.

They are cruising to the title. The most loaded team since the Warriors with KD and Steph.

Minnesota needs a secondary scorer, 3+D guys, and a shot creator. They also need someone competent offensively and get rid of Gobert.

Wolves simply don't have enough ISO shot creation outside Ant to keep against a defense like Okc's. They also need to upgrade at the pg position and need to add some playmaking ability. Just too much waiting on a spot to get a shot off. Otherwise, great team and good run. A few upgrades they could seriously make a run at the finals.

It's funny, but Dallas had the best team with Luka and Kyrie to match up with OKC. And Nico blew it up.

The Thunder should build a statue outside for the man who deserves all the credit for potentially making them a dynasty....

PAUL GEORGE

Thank you for allowing the Thunder to not only get a league MVP but enough draft picks to create the most stacked roster for the next decade and possibly all time.

Congrats to OKC. Best team all year and as fun as the Indiana story has been, I don't think they have a chance against this juggernaut.

I know we as a community have had a habit of crowning the last couple champions as "the next dynasty" only for them to flame out in their defending championship year. But I seriously think OKC is primed to win the next 3 out of 5 championships. They have an MVP-calibre player, 2 all-stars who still haven't reached their ceilings yet and a deep supporting cast of versatile role players who can be churned out over the next couple of years since the Thunder are loaded with draft picks.

OKC is a very dominate team. Congrats!!
I think they'll win it all this year.
Finish off what KD/Westbrook/Harden couldn't do (2010-2016).
They wouldve finish Denver off quickly as well if it wasn't the brainfarts the coach had in Game 1.
Pacers and Knicks are nice, good teams but OKC is on a different level. Pacers might be able to hang tho due to their depth and fast pace. Great coaching, too.

Nice season, TWolves! Keep grinding. Back to back seasons in the WCFs. They'll get there, too someday. Young team , big, talented, physical. Good coach too.

I think y'all are underestimating Indy but okc are major favorites.
