This season has been dope
ehhhh time to have higher expectations.
Nah, youre letting the bitterness outway the sweetness. Cause 7 games away from a chip is a dope season for a knicks fan

It has nothing to do with bitterness and everything to do with the moment. You never know whats going to happen next year. We were a wildy healthy team. This **** isn't always "linear". You have to take advantage of every opportunity/window you were given. There was a window this year.

Yeah it sucks were down 1-3 and most likely losing in the ecf. But the reality is most of us were expecting a 2nd round exit in year 1 of this team so then making it to the ecf even with changing expectations when we got here is a win.
Look I get it we lost last night and that sht still stings. there is always going to be a bittersweet feeling to this season cause we believe they should have won this series but that doesn't change the fact this season is amazing in all of its context.

I think most thought we were going to lose in round 2 because we were going to get bounced by CLE or BOS. On the brink vs Indy and Haliburton who's been clowning on us doesn't sit well with me at all.

It ain’t over until Indy gets 4 games.
Find that belief! You can do it for one more game.

I remember when I forgot that we took the celtics in that final game in regular season to OT. All I remembered was -they swept us all 4 games and it was by a wide margin. So I posted in one of the threads that we didnt have a shot at beating them.
Next day(before the series started) I'm on youtube listen to takes about how we don't have a chance etc...Then they started talking about
the last regular season game that we played against them and how it went into OT. So, I said let me look this up. Sure enough CS, I remembered that game and I remembered that we could have won that game. At that moment- I knew we had a "shot". The odds was 6-1 if the Knicks won the series-
I took those odds, apologized to the board for my previous prediction and told whoever was reading the post if you want to take a bet with some 6-1 odds- this series would be the one to do it.
I say all of that to say- this team plays well during these types of moments. I think the fact that they gave away that game 1 in the garden almost guarantees they wont lose game 5. Then they go back to Indy where the close out pressure will be on Indy and Knicks will have nothing to lose.
I think if we win tomorrow - we win the series...So even if you dont believe that - what does it hurt for you to say you know what- its not over yet so
I'm going to have faith. I mean we came this far. We experienced so much disappointment. What's another game if we do lose...

Love your enthusiasm and confidence Context but for me the glass will be half empty just because of what I've seen Thibs do this series. The players have overcome his incompetence all season but he's gone too far now. He set the team up for failure after failure every game this series. His mistakes have cost us every loss and it's undeniable. If I had just seen something different from him, just some tiny adjustments to say OK maybe he's giving them a fair chance but unfortunately nothing.
The Pacers will continue to spam the pick and roll and get our bigs on Hali. No adjustments all series from Thibs. Pacers will continue to spam the mismatches with KAT and Brunson. No adjustments all series from Thibs. Pacers will continue to spam the fast break. No defensive adjustments from Thibs. The Pacers will continue to go 10 deep and have their starters rested to close games. Thibs will continue to play our players that are net negative and have our bench rotting who are net positive.
I'm sorry but this team is out of avenues to overcome Thibs now. The Pacers have found a recipe for success and we have yet to find a counter. Not confident at all Thibs will finally find one 5 games in to this series.

I agree with almost everything...I just think these Knicks have a shot as long as there is a window and if they pull it off -if will be in spite of Thibs.

how is changing the starting lineup, benching cam payne, expanding the rotation to include shamet and wright, and giving precious spot minutes considered no defensive adjustments?
CyKnickal wrote:They apply full court pressure the entire game on Brunson.
We run back to their three point line and wait for Haliburton to come and run his offense.
There was a play where we scored, Haliburton got an inbounds pass near the half court line, he flinged one pass to Siakam up ahead who scored on a layup.
If these guys don't lay this guy out, are on him like white on rice from the moment they inbound, I'm turning it off. If these pussies can take choke signs, get mocked by him with their own celebrations and completely clowned on by a soft ass no defense playing player himself, then I'm not riding this out either, I'll go clean my fish tank.
All I hear is Brunson can't guard this can't guard that, yeah, neither can Haliburton, but they let this pos run around free and clear and get a 30 point triple double. Why isn't anybody attacking him....oh that's right...because the game didn't tell us to. Is the game telling this stupid coach not to sink Deuce on him for every second of his life?
Tired of this **** man. Love this team but, get me a coach that I can digest the way he makes them play......I'm not watching 50 million dollar players being coached like they're on a ten day contract and a bum ass role player getting superstar treatment because he gives the coach good feels.
