I wouldn't mind taking a chance on a guy with big upside at 28 or 32. I like Rocco in that role.

Money in ncaa and all the apron bull in the nba is going to not only kill dynasties, but more late first round kids are going to opt out of the draft.

Not really. Those kids don't opt out of the draft altogether, they just get to the league a year (or two) later. Instead of gambling on a raw freshman "with upside" and then being forced to give him NBA minutes to develop him, the NBA can let colleges build those guys up to NBA standards and play guys that know what they are doing in the mean time. The kids still get their money via NIL. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

Looks like it’s most likely #28 and either 31, 32 or 33. I’d package 28 and which ever slot the 2nd round pick lands and trade that to Charlotte for their 2nd, the rights to the Pels 25’ 2nd and their 26’ 2nd (should be in the 30’s).

That 25’ 1st round rookie salary is gonna be tough on the payroll.

Yeah I like it. It also makes drafts stronger and deeper.

The withdrawals make me a bit less interested in trading back in the 2nd this year. I think lots of good players still in the top 30-35, but getting more sparse after that.
Future seconds may be more value as this trend of guys staying in college longer sets hold.

Idk I could be wrong but I think this draft is supposed to be a little deeper in the back end, due to the last of the covid-year seniors still lingering around.

Definitely interested. Love size/versatility. First impression is he looks like he has solid Fundamentals but looks a bit slow footed on offense. Slow-Mo Anderson with a real jumper comes to mind. Biggest concern might be his level of competition.

I think Portsmouth may answer some of those questions.

Although some players are going back to college, I still believe 28+32 still holds near same value as before. Most returning players were not projected to Go before 28 except maybe Yaxel. Other than a trade up I still want at least 2 players from this draft..

Still strongly believe Hauser +28 to trade up and target a player should be near top Priority.

I'm starting to warm up to some bigs and giving Aussie Alex Toohey a deeper look after his nice measurement

yea, Fleming sliding seems like the best outcome so we get at least one guy with a good floor of physicality/athleticism/shooting with our two picks

I had no clue until about 15 mins ago. But apparently he can shoot. Really good 3 FG% (on good volume) and FT% numbers. And he's an older guy..not sure how old but he's a senior..

This guy is looking better and better to me.

He can legit handle the basketball which is my number one target right now. He plays downhill which we need. He has a soft midrange jumper and gets after it on the defensive end.

Hope they take a closer look.
