A lot of those TOs were from Hart and he got rewarded with more playing time. Lol. You can't make this stuff up.

I think thats he biggest flaw- he's been doing it all season...
and I really think the knicks in general are too care free with the ball generally. All season- its felt that way with turn overs for the starters.

OG on Hali (fights over screens and has length/smarts)
Mitch on Siakam (he can at least take away the post ups)
KAT on Turner (Turner has been meh in this series)
Brunson on Neismith
Mikal on Nemhard (Mikal as the guy helping when necessary)

You can switch the Hali screens with KAT/Mitch because OG can guard Turner or Siakam.

So you make Hali play more 1-on-1 than he wants. Stagnates and slows down their offense.

Thibs would never.

Imagine the comeback finalizing in game 7, it'd be a top5 knicks moment.

no one tracks that. but if they did it would skew against the knicks starters due to how many minutes the starting unit plays. all totals stats would be weighted so much that the statistic would not be valuable -- especially this one when the team TOs are so low.

one could then say the knicks starters turn the ball over more than other starting groups, and it would be poor... context.

I don’t think they were saying for a whole game lol, but at times why not? When they got TJ n Bradley (10 mins last game) in there at the same time, I’d do it. Just to throw something different at them. The same way going deeper into the rotation threw them off in game 3.

Did you see what a trash nuggets D did against OKC playing a zone? It would be a different look I think could work a bit

Hoping we can extend the series, but the way it's gone has really bewildered me. I'm not gonna pretend like the pacers suck, but I felt we matched up well enough to outplay them. I thought we'd be able to neutralize the damage siakam did to us last year with a healthy roster and yet he's still putting up 25 PPG on 60.9% TS in the series. That can't happen.

The mental mistakes by hart last game were insane and we can't get Brunson and KAT playing well at the same time. Then again inconsistency has been the story of this season. Who knows what happens tonight but it's been such a disappointing series.

they do play a ton of minutes so maybe thats why it appeared to me that they were the worst at turnovers
I dont know...It one thing if you turn over the bal because of your opponents defense but careless turn overs should be rare...

Generally I like all your proposed ideas but in the end they'll be running all those screens and cross screens to attack Brunson and KAT. Matchups in that regard don't matter that much unfortunately. We have two defensive liabilities and they are going to get attacked 48 minutes a game. Zone would be the only defensive tactic to prevent that but generally it does not work well in the NBA. The funny thing is that leaving defense aside, we should actually be able to outscore the Pacers as well as we are more talented offensively at almost every positions except OG vs. Siakam. Pacers are definitely beatable but not with Thibs approach. That has to be established in November. You can't just throw out an 8th and 9th man in game 96 and 97 and hope it turns an ECF around. We lost against the Pacers not in the last 7 days but with Thibs approach to start the season.

It's an intensity and focus issue, not a talent one.
