Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
Currently, I'd go J.Dub or Tatum. Only guys who give you enough handles, shooting, perimeter and backline defense.
I'd also think of Siakam, Ant, and Cade.
All-time?
KG, Lebron, Jordan, Larry Bird, KD, Kawhi.
Maybe Kobe or Havlicke.

When were his slim years in San Antonio? 2014?
Fun fact: the plural form of Diaw is Diawi

i see your 5 Tyler Hansbroughs and raise you 5 Draymonds.
if dray had like even a little bit of shot creation in him, i feel like he wouldnt be a bad answer to this. imagine scoring on 5 draymonds. yeesh.

LeBron KD and Gianni's are the super obvious ones from players still playing
Magic.
I guess Hakeem or KG would fit

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
If we are talking players right now in the shape they were for the 2024-25 season then I think Giannis is the best answer.
If we are talking any player in the game right now in their peak then LeBron.
If we are talking any player all-time in their peak, MJ is the only real answer.

AD would be pretty good, except youd have no one to play the 5 spot

He is definitely not a PG or Center.

Yeah, they’d be hard pressed to defend bigger guys, but they could double and swarm all over and I don’t think anyone could keep up with their 3s, spacing, cutting and intelligence.
3 > 2
Hard pressed is being very polite. A Curry front court would be crushed and/or in foul trouble in no time against anything even 6-6 or bigger, let alone facing 5 LeBron's.
Yeah sure 3 > 2, but 80+% in the RA beats 45% 3 pointers on any given day.

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
Ben Simmons is the obvious choice. The only player I've ever seen on 2K with a primary position of point guard and secondary of center. It has to mean something.
Seriously though. Giannis would be my pick if it was actually a serious competition. It would be LeBron if he was in his prime.

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
MJ would be interesting because you would end up with a highlander situation, only one of those MF's making it out of that situation alive. Lonzo would be a pretty fun one he can defend pretty much any position well, good passing IQ, nice shot good at attacking the basket. Would be pretty funny to see a Simmons one just a bunch of guys making great passes but nobody wants to shoot. 5 Jokers would be crazy and that may be one of the better ones because that would be so tough to stop. This is one of my favorite topics I've seen in a long time. 5 Magic Johnsons would be another tough one. 5 Wilt would be insane I actually think this may be it too I don't know WTF you do against 5 Wilt Chamberlain's. Really wish I could see 5 Jokers vs 5 Wilt now.

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
5 draymonds.
players would forfeit for their nuts
Best player here is prime KD
No one else can shoot attack the paint /cut and defend while being 7 ft like KD. He was one of the best defenders and played small bsl 5 during his warriors run. All those skills I mentioned were elite. Only his dribble and passing were not elite but above avg.
People say kawhi but he's too small
LeBron 2011/2012 is just not a good enough shooter from distance. His shooting and distance ( shooting from 25-30 ft out) only dramatically improved during his laker days past his prime. imo 5 wembys will take down prime LeBron as they neutralize his driving.
Hakeem lacks shooting and wemby is not in his prime yet ( also isn't a shooter like KD).
So yes id take prime KD 2016-2019
