Is he overrated? Pull up a thread on DeRozan and after a few minutes you will question if he should be in the NBA. And cherry picking the last 6 seasons and ignoring the previous 6 seems disingenuous. No NBA defense has figured out how to stop him, that’s not a coincidence. He’s a cone defensively, but a beast on offense.

Current Demar has more in common with 20-25 Demar than 14-19 Demar. The league has also changed a fair bit since 2014, to Demar's disadvantage.

Maybe defensively, but there’s nothing to suggest any decline on offense. There’s been multiple teams this playoffs that could benefit from DeMar scoring and getting to the line in the halfcourt.

Yup, Demar's fools gold offense is the same as ever. No 3s, has to be played functionally at the 4, and DeRozanises your offense because he needs the ball and everything has to be adjusted to fit his suboptimal play style. Stay away if you want to win. Good scorer for a 39 win team though.

lol. You had the same conclusion about Sabonis

His strengths won't outweigh his weaknesses next to Wemby. His ideal fit is as the starting 5 for a 40 win team with a limited ceiling and no playoff aspirations

Sounds like if a player doesn’t fit your idea of a “winning” player you conclude they are losing players. Most players have flaws, that’s doesn’t mean you don’t take into account their strengths.

Sabonis has his own flaws, but he's better than Demar.

I honestly don’t think you watch either of them enough to know what you’re talking about
