What told Thibs to go into the fourth quarter down 6 in game 2, call timeout down 12 and come back out of the timeout with the SAME LINEUP WHICH INCLUDED CAM PAYNE.
What told Thibs to not call timeout down 3 at the end of game 2 and we drew up no play other than Brunson chucking up a contested 3, where we had a timeout to use and settle a play.
What told Thibs to go back to play Josh hart 36 minutes when he had 5 turnovers, and mikal who kept bricking shot after shot, yet Delon was on the bench, and deuce who has the highest +/- in the series only played 15 minutes ?
What told Thibs to not develop a bench all year, kolek pac and huk can’t see the light of the court and can’t even make a mistake once because they’re benched for another month.
What are you talking about ?
I don't agree with every move Thibs makes, but he's got a team with a shallow bench and guys that don't mesh very well. I've been saying it since before the season, they are still 1 piece away.
Obviously Thibs will go with Captain clutch down the stretch, figuring that he can make up for the defensive deficiencies by scoring, that's the same reason he didn't call time out. I mean, Jalen did it all year long. He trusts Brunson and the team is too mistake prone to get the ball inbounds in a tight window there, they would prob turn it over.
Also Brunson took an awful shot there with too much time still remaining on the clock. He had enough time to get a better opportunity than that. It was on him. Love Brunson but he needs to share the ball a little bit more.
Most of the bench is super raw, I don't seem them coming into a playoff game and making a big difference. We saw some guys last game and they made lots of mistakes.
