KAT started slow but picked up the slack afterwards. Thibs really found something with that KAT + 4 role players lineup with him as the offensive hub.
Our two stars showed up. Everyone else did a solid job supporting them.
But this was the "easy" win. As rob said, the game was reminiscent of the Celtics game 5 win in Boston, with a desperate team facing elimination at home.
The big test will come in game 6. With some newfound confidence, I think we can pull it off. The teams are close, but if our talent can coalesce and ours stars show up, we can beat them twice.
come on CB...I was loving everything until I read "easy" win...no sir. We lost two games against Indy at msg back to back. We come back dow 1-3 to play the 3rd game at the garden. Most didnt expect a win. We come out take the lead - build on it, shut Halifraud down, Brunson and Kat go off, all of our guys found ways to be productive even after they werent perfect and we held Indy to 94 points. Thats a first for them this post season.
That was far from easy. We made it look easy...
As a matter of fact the pressure is on Indy now. I'm not saying game 6 will be easy. I'm saying that if we lose we lose. If they lose they become the very chokers that Halifraud called us after game 1.
We will take game 6.
