fake news indeed.

Serie A comes down to the wire this weekend with a 2 team race for first place...Napoli currently sit one point ahead of Inter.

and Juve find themselves one point ahead of Roma and two ahead of Lazio for the final CL spot.

Heavy rumors of Conte to Juventus circulating. I can only hope these rumors are true but who knows.

Champion will be crowned today
(unless Napoli lose and Inter draw -- then they will play a championship match)

What a goal from McTominay.
It's time for 5 refs.

Meanwhile, in his final game before retirement, Pepe Reina gets sent off for Como

Romelu wants that Scudetto.

A rough decision for Pepe Reina, but the right call.
It's time for 5 refs.

Absolute scenes in Naples. Serie A has been so entertaining this year.
It's time for 5 refs.

Napoli, Inter, Atalanta, and Juve to UCL
Roma to Europa League
Fiorentina to Conference League once again.

Empoli, Venezia, and Monza have been relegated

It will be very interesting to see which coaches change squads this summer.

Conte is expected to leave Napoli and Juve are rumored to be interested in getting him back.

Allegri and Sarri may make their returns.

Gasperini is rumored to leave Atalanta, with Roma pursuing him strongly.

Palladino has resigned allegedly from Fiorentina but the club is trying to change his mind.

Conte is allergic to having a successful second season. I dont know why he was in a hurry to leave after such a triumph unless there already was a wink wink deal with Juventus.

Good luck and make sure to beat Juve and Milan.

Considering Napoli's lack of funds and conte's track record, I can only assume that things will end UGLY between Conte and De Laurentiis. But he's certainly the right man for the job until then.

Meanwhile, Paulo Fonseca takes over at Milan. He did not impress anyone during his stint at Roma...it's giving serious Rudi Garcia to Napoli vibes

The day before Napoli's opening match, Conte is already revealing how unhappy it is. It is totally understandable given the circumstances -- the Osimhen situation has not been resolved and he is not with the squad, and Conte's favorite player on planet earth Lukaku looks no closer to joining Napoli than he did in June.
Still, it feels safe to assume that this may end very ugly much sooner than even I expected

So, they did end up getting Conte's one true love Lukaku...and there's no hope for an ugly finish between the two because a Scudetto heals all of that. But everything probably came to an end for Conte when they sold Kvara mid season. He realized they can't meet his transfer demands, which was always going to be the issue.

On one hand he deserves to be at a massive club that has actual funds to work with--as what he does each season is impressive. On the other hand, his lack of success in Europe has the elite clubs scared to hire him (I do feel this is his biggest obstacle, as clubs will tolerate his BS if he wins). And lastly, he should definitely take a chill pill. Who in their right mind would take a job at Napoli or Tottenham and expect them to buy 12 superstars by year two

Scratch that. Conte will be staying with Napoli.

I was really hoping he’d make his return to Juve :(

That's bit unexpected, everyone was saying Conte to Juve is a done deal

De Laurentiis must have made some serious promises for the transfer market... and starting with signing KDB is not half bad

coaching merry-go-round updates:

Allegri has returned to Milan

Sarri has returned to Lazio

Roma has hired Gasperini

Pioli is close to Fiorentina

Atalanta are considering Palladino

No clue what Juve will do...maybe keep Tudor?

I've seen fairly reliable links suggesting Marco Silva is a concrete option for Juventus. Whether he chooses to leave Fulham or not, I don't know.

I haven't been filled of hope for next season for years with Gasperini going to Roma! Hopefully he hasn't lost the magic he worked with Atalanta.

Im sick of the Mickey Mouse nature of the management changing coaches 5 weeks into a season....

Hopefully he can replicate the success he had with Atalanta. It may take a season or two for his ideas to really stick...Roma better not fudge this up
