WOLVES
In: Trae
Out: Randle/Dillingham/Conley /17/Swap 2030
In my eyes, the Wolves' biggest weakness is playmaking. Trae is elite there.
He would make Ant's game much more unstoppable and unpredictable and make Gobert a truly useful offensive player. The Wolves have the personnel to cover Trae's shortcomings.
BULLS
In: Randle/17
Out: P.Williams/Ayo/BLAZERS FRP/12
The Bulls get the best player, get rid of Williams' future money
HAWKS
In: Dillingham/Conley/Ayo/Williams/12/Blazers FRP/Swap 2030(Wolves)
Out:Trae Young
The Hawks trade Trae before he loses more value (before the end of his contract approaches) for a prospect, a lottery pick, and future assets.

No to taking on Randle and no to trading back for Randle.
Chicago don't need to make moves like this, it doesn't help long term.

Looks good to me-if Randle will come and play nice without an extension

If he doesn’t have an extension, he’d have to, right?
I’ve never been a fan of Trae Young, and the Wolves identity used to be defense. However, I’ll admit there is some kind of karmic balance pairing Trae and Rudy Gobert, offensive and defensive yin and yangs. I would question though whether MIN stays put, hoping Rob Dillingham can become 80% of Trae, on a cheap contract, and keep Randle and the pick and the swap?

not nearly enough value for Trae. A starting player and a couple FRP's short of realistic.

This is why Trae Young is likely never traded. No team is sending that value for him, while Hawks fans are demanding that value in a trade.

Re: Wolves/Bulls/Hawks
After moving on from Demar DeRozan before the season and Zach Lavine at the deadline the Bulls enjoyed their best stretch (15-5) in close to a decade mainly because they no longer had one or teo players who absolutely dominated the ball on offense. The had players willing to run Billy Donovan's offense, move the ball, stop the isolation, find the open man and shoot the three. What role would Randle fill? the ball dominant, unwilling passer who wants to put up points to audition for his next big contract.
Cut the Bulls out, no thanks, move along.

Julius Randle is a very willing passer. You are describing a player who isn't in this trade.
The Bulls schedule was also extremely easy. They beat the Lakers twice, which was impressive, but their other "best wins" included beating Haliburton-less Pacers and Jokic-less Nuggets. The rest were lottery teams.
