I predict easy Pacers victory 125-79 :D

I doubt it will be a blow out, but I'll take the Pacers 114-103

I didn’t see a lot of this series but thibs unlocked Kat telling him not to shoot 3s. Changed the complexion of this game

LOL, you think Thibs said WHAT to Towns? Coaches don’t last in the NBA telling “the best shooting big man of all-time” not to shoot threes. If there’s a reason Towns only took 4 threes today it’s probably because he didn’t trust his knee on the release.

He said it in the post game interview with TNT. He feels he’s doing better going downhill, which he has. They can’t stop him from getting into the paint.

I'm going to go against everyone and say Pacers in 7. Knicks will get the road win to tie the series, be riding high on the hog, and then have their hearts broken in the Garden Game 7.

Wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

if any coach in the nba would do that, its actually thibs. so im not completely counting it out. he played some really good games now. despite solid statlines and good efficiency he checked out too many times before. and im speaking about the whole run, not only this series. He took 1 three vs boston in the first 2 games if i remember correctly. His knee was fine then.

i really dont know what to make of KAT. he has good stats but a lot of times i just dont recognize any impact. he needs to keep this aggressiveness up and demand the ball. he is too willing to defer to other players. when most times hes the most talented player on the court (on offense).
im bout dat action boss

You say 1995 all over again. Choke in Game 1, Knicks came down from 3-1 to tie and KAT miss a fingerroll?

It was great to see a W in the Garden, it’ll make us happy gor two mare days but I am not getting my hopes high.
I didn’t like the interviews on the court like you won a championship and its the last game for couple months.

Props to Thibs and the Knicks coaching staff for opening up the rotation which allowed them to match Indiana's over the entire game.

Edit: to match Indiana's energy
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Thibs makes a crucial adjustment and everyone is quiet around here. Doesn't fit the Anti Thibs narrative.

These teams have met so many times in the playoffs they’ve seen this exact situation 3 times before. Knicks down 3-2, game 6 in Indiana, Knicks have to win to stay alive and force game 7 at home. This happened in 94, 95 and 2013

Knicks won the game 6 in 94 and 95. Lost it in 2013. As a side note they won the game 6 in 95 but lost game 7 at home

He still hasn’t adjusted the hart / Robinson thing … Robinson is playing as many min now as he was when he came off the bench. And hart is playing as many mins as when he was starting meanwhile being an absolute travesty. The wright and shamet thing came out of foul trouble not an adjustment. To his credit they are getting some minutes. For them to win this series, though the hart / Robinson adjustment which was again basically forced on him in the starting lineup needs to show throughout the course of the game, not just the first 8minutes of each half. Because as of now, Mitch has inexplicably been benched the last 2 4th quarters.

That felt like an uncharacteristic game for the Pacers. The tempo and poise was not there. Have to wonder why they were so flat?

That's cause everyone knows Thibs is a terrible coach, even when he's coaching well.

You just can't win with upgraded Van Vleet as your best player.

It was clear to everyone he should have been doing this all season long. This happened now out of necessity, not out of some grand strategy.

Nah. Shamet got a regular shift in the regular season, but we didn't need him in the first two rounds and running a shorter rotation actually helped against Detroit & Boston. While Wright needed some time to settle in, and Payne was really good for us in the regular season...as well as being crucial to us winning game 1 of the Pistons series.

Plus we didn't have this bench for a lot of the season; Robinson missed ~60 games, Shamet ~30, Achiuwa ~20, McBride & Payne ~10, Wright wasn't on the team until the dealine...we got pretty lucky with our starter's health this year, but our bench only started coming together at the tail end of the regular season.
