You aren’t wrong, just wished I didn’t have to hear Reggie or SVG anymore

At least NBA on NBC is coming back. Maybe we can get some real drama and storytelling back

Just imagine, next season, Saturday night Knicks and this theme is playing. Whoo boy.

The younger posters here have no clue how amped these games on NBC are gonna be next fall.

If you were around to watch these games on Sundays back in the 90s, you know. Every game is an event

The intros got me hyped but always used to make me nervous. Felt like the biggest game ever.

I DID NOT REALIZE HE DID THIS IN THE GAME, WOW!!!

THIS MAN NEEDS MORE MINUTES TO STOP THE FAST INDY GUARDS AND HE CAN HIT SHOTS/SCORE

FIRST TIME I SAW OUR PLAYERS GET OVER SCREENS LIKE THAT THIS SEASON, HE LOOKED LIKE PRIME TONY ALLEN

I LOVE THAT ENERYGY, IT PERSONIFIED HOW WE CAME OUT IN GAME 5

His best moment in that was @0:53 when he clamped McConnell. I’ve been begging and pleading for someone to check this dude. deuce has never been able to slow him down maybe because of his short stature and then Shamet of all people comes in and gets it done. Didn’t know he could play like that and wasn’t impressed by him defensively in the regular season either. Always seemed liked a huge negative when he entered the game.

Could it be the bench is finally getting minutes when it counts so the players are more focused and fine-tuned?

Both Shamet and Wright have been in the league over 7 years. Shamet has shot over 38% from three. Each has averaged double figures at least one season (Wright three times). And each plays good D. And we have them cheap.

This was like Thibs finding an oasis in the midst of the Sahara desert. Someone took off his blindfold (Leon?) and behold we are back in this series! :)

Shamet didn’t look good in the regular season to me. He did have some good games, but it only seemed like they came against bad teams. He looked awful in the tough matchups. So I’m personally surprised he’s been a positive at this level but I’m glad the team believed in him and they all stayed ready

Them old Knicks vs Bulls games huh

Everyone in the neighborhood would hit the basketball courts early Sunday morning, and then rush home to watch the game in the afternoon.

Man. That was so much fun. Things were so simple yet enjoyable back then

Carlisle was either very tired or he was really down. It was as if he feels that the Knicks are doing what they need to do to stop them, and there aren't easy answers for him.

The pacers missed a ton of shots they were making in the other games. Credit to our D but I don’t expect them to perform like that again in game 6. They’re going to try to knock us out early like they did in game 3 before we rallied. Hope our team is ready

I'm very impressed with how well he speaks. He's not the most athletically talented player, but his intelligence shows on the floor in how he plays and maximizes his physical skills.

They are!

If you've seen how NBC has leaned heavily into the nostalgia factor with WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event, I think we can expect them to treat the NBA the same way

Full retro is the way the only thing that i'll miss is Marv Albert narrating the intro before the theme kicks in.

Entire ECF is on TNT, dont know where this idea came that game 6 (and hopefully 7) will be on ESPN.

Would be a great way for TNT's last broadcast of the NBA be Game 7 of the ECF at MSG.

Can never get an honest unveiled response out of this dude. Always some copy/paste general statement.

Just hold him accountable and say “Josh has got to do a better job with ball security. Let’s cut down on the jump passes and stay under control.”

Just once I’d like to hear a thoughtful response with candor from Thibs.

I'd also like to hear that, but he has good reasons for replying how he does. First, he has never insulted or put down a player. When Randle fuqqed up, he always had his back and helped him make the best of it. Second, he doesn't want to reveal his planning or thinking to give opponents an edge. So these interviews are always going to be somewhat less revealing than we'd like.

You know fans defending Thibs been saying all year long he is unplayable....I pointed to the fact that he played close to 20 minutes on all his team which were mostly top seeded playoff teams....but still they said he can't play, is unplayable....the short rotation has been my main point of criticism on Thibs....really to me after watching Wright, Shamet etc. play the last games shows me that Thibs' reluctance to expand the rotation is what almost cost us the Pistons series....you put both of them in and get a good 15-20 minutes from them and our entire playoff run becomes more convincing.

But it took close to an entire fanbase, media, commentators etc. to force Thibs to expand his rotation.

Too late, too little.

They knew how to set the stage for a game.

ESPN and TNT cannot hold a candle to NBC's presentation of the NBA.

I'm not gonna harp on Tom here because he had us prepared better than ever but yeah. These guys should have been playing all this time.

I've been saying all season long that this team is nowhere near their potential

Marv Albert is forever the GOAT. Harlan is great too, but I get irked by Reggie Miller. Maybe I still have PTSD like Josh Hart from remembering how he lit up Starks/Anthony/Houston/Ward.

I think Charles was trying to help KAT out of the goodness of his heart. Dead ass.

Yeah I don’t. They probably just wanted to get inside his head. They all hate this team

Nah I've seen them confront a player like that before because they know he is better than that. If Charles didn't want to see KAT do better he wouldn't have said anything.

I hope that was a wake up call for Karl. It's one thing for media or radio ppl to say it but for his predecessors to confront him like that directly is something else.
