I got most of the adjustments I wanted these playoffs…
*Try a different starting lineup/Bring Hart off the bench
*Switch heavy defense
*Play Delon over Cam
*Throw 5 mins a game at Precious
*Play the bench more mins/go 10 deep
*Stagger lineups better (+JB or KAT with defenders)
*More 3pt FGA from KAT (this series is more than RS avg)
*Pickup Hali full court
*Even got a zone defense sighting
I’d prefer Deuce starting, but I’ll take what I can get. Also have to develop a consistent 2 man game between JB n KAT, because when we see flashes of it it’s nice. Can’t have 1 assist by your pg to your big over 4 games in the ECF.
That's exactly the problem though. He will only adjust if he is overwhelmingly forced to do it and not proactively by himself to improve his team's chances. If he had done all those things early in the season and postseason we likely beat the Pistons 4-1 and are up on the Pacers 3-2 or have already won the series. He had a team vastly more talented in round 1 and barely won in 6 close, hardfought games again Tobias Harris, Schroeder and Hardaway jr. and now he will lose in 6 games against an inferior Pacer squad. And some believe he has cemented his job. He hasn't. Saturday will be his last game as a knick Head coach.
that's my biggest gripe with him, he'll redline the starters and wont make a change until they're already gassed. Not just that it's the simplest of tactics, hell he's literally seeing his ops do it and is incapible of picking up on it.
harass the ball handler full court, use your bench to do it, tell them to go all out and save nothing back. tj, nemhard and Sheppard aint some group of studs, they just come in and plays 110% for 12 mins a game and it wears JB down, why not try to wear Hali down too?
