They want to tax the bettors themselves? That will never pass. Sportsbooks (and casinos) pay tax to the state (same as in Wisconsin and all other states). Taxing the individual bettors will never happen.

Moving has been funny.

I realized I never used an ironing board or iron or wore a collared shirt in the five years I lived in this place despite owning an insane amount of polos and button up shirts. Same with dress/work pants. Covid hit and my work attire was jeans, tees, and hoodies for five years.

I used to collect cards as a kid. Many boxes of baseball card sets from the early 90s, but also a book of basketball cars. Thumbing through it I had every star from that era: Pippen, Kemp, Malone, Payton, Stockton, Hardaway, Miller. This was the literal last thing I cleared from a closet, on the ground and had slipped through the rest of my closet ****.

Bro I checked on ebay and that thing is going for like $700-2500. ETA: Looked a bit closer and it's not that high for the most part.

I don't collect much, I had thousands of Pokemon cards that'd be worth tens of thousands now if my parents hadn't tossed them in their move. Only real collectibles I have now is my Giannis signed ball and my 2006 Miami Heat signed ball. That Heat ball is going to be worth a pretty penny in 20 years. I think I checked and it was worth around $1500 now.

Just make sure it's authenticated. Or have it authenticated if you ever plan to sell

Turns out the proposal is to tax every bet but that tax is on the online sportsbooks not the bettor. It would affect profits (which are sky high) but not the bettor themselves.

On mobile I use Safari with Purify, and on Mac I use the Brave browser. I see white blocks where the ads are supposed to be, but not the ads themselves.

McDavid is peak-Giannis-in-transition levels of being pretty unfair to everyone else out there.
