yes your right, if i think the nba is sometimes giving picks to teams that do what they want...
then i obviously must believe in every conspiracy in existence.

yous are pathetic.
beyond the facts i just stated.
want proof...look at what happened. thats the proof.
dont believe it? i dont care.

these anti-conspiracy theorists cant stop acting like anyone that believes something they dont is a conspiracy theorist in every way.
also its these closed minded people continuously assuming that anyone who doesnt agree w/ them is crazy.
these are the conspiracy theories you've created in your own mind against the outside world.

okay.. so im really trying to give you guys a lot of chances to prove me wrong. im open to change my mind and change my opinion.

where is the proof? should i accept your statement "the nba gifted zion to the pelicans" as a proof? Thats not how evidence works my guy.
Show me something that proves your statement. im not gonna accept a random realgm posters statement as truth without evidence.

noone on here provides any proof or even plausible and reasonable indication. all i read is wild assumptions without much base.
im bout dat action boss

It's fairly clear the draft is fixed from the way the Knicks kept winning the lottery over the last 20 years.
The most charitable interpretation is that it's ethnic cleansing and massive war crimes.

This is a long thread for a straw man.

It's just a cover, because they're about to have the Lakers in the next 5 finals. Plausible deniability season.

The Mavericks' odds of winning this year was 1.8%. The average odds of winning Powerball is nearly 1 in 300,000,000 or 0.0000003333% and yet seven people won the Powerball jackpot in 2024. The odds of all three of the Mavericks winning this year, the Pelicans winning in 2012 (13.7%) and the Cavaliers winning in 2003 (22.5%) combined is 0.055665% or approximately 1 in 1796, substantially greater than Powerball odds.

Sometimes, when dealing with a random process, things just happen.

Tim Donaghy is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to confirming if the NBA being rigged. Can’t deny it.

Imagine trying to roast the Knicks in such a popular thread and still only getting 7 And-1s. Literally fireworks going off in Queens last night. You think all those people that flood 7th avenue live in Manhattan? Good luck on the future BKN. :)

How does this confirm the NBA is rigged?

Rigged? Perhaps. But not rigged enough to prevent the Raptors, a US-ratings nightmare, from winning the championship in 18/19. That alone gave me faith that there some non-riggedness to the NBA.

Too many moving pieces to be fully rigged. I do think the NBA does make decisions that are favorable to their bottom line, when they can.

The odds of each one of us as individuals even existing is so small, we all must be part of some grand conspiracy.

Think about it guys, the odds of:

• Your parents meeting,
• Successfully reproducing,
• That exact sperm meeting that exact egg,
• Your ancestors surviving through all of history.

Dr. Ali Binazir actually did try to quantify this:

Result: 1 in 10²,⁶⁸⁵,⁰⁰⁰ (1 followed by 2,685,000 zeroes)

This includes:
• Two people meeting (1 in 20,000)
• Staying together and having a child (1 in 2,000)
• Right sperm meeting the right egg (1 in 400 quadrillion)
• All ancestors reproducing successfully over 4 billion years

So the likelihood of us as individuals ever existing in the first place is so small it must be down to a conspiracy so large it makes nba rigging look like a triviality. game over

All that tells me is that there are crooked people who get employed within the company and take advantage of the opportunities given to them. This doesn't point to the NBA being a rigged league at all, unless he was out there officiating every game.

And, I mean, I'm not going to sit here and pretend I have the worlds greatest memory, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't out there doing that.

Oh and also, that was 15+ years ago...

If there was a larger conspiracy that the NBA was rigging games Tim Donnelly would have sang like a bird instead of serving over a year in prison.

100%.

Show me a conspiracy theorist and I'll show you an attention-seeker who has reached the limits of their capacity to comprehend the world.

Nothing left to do but laugh and their stupidity and move on.

You’re quite possibly in denial that “conspiracy theorists” have also called just about every mainstream news event ahead of time going back for a while now.

There’s a lot of crazies out there, but there’s also a lot of really sane people that realize the world is run by evil.

Not entirely. The US Government was keeping tabs on the citizens for decades long before the whistle blower came forward. And there were an infinite amount of more moving pieces. There were even instances where the Government did keep classified info under wraps until they chose to reveal it generations later.

I'm not saying that if something is rigged, it won't come out. Just that if its rigged, it can be kept secret for years, decades, before it ever comes out.
