SGA.
The other team will foul out and that’s how you will win

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

5 SGA vs 5 Laimbeer would be like a scared straight program for foul merchants. I wish one of the basketball games would add this as a mode it would be cool to play these out and if it had historical players too.

i'm not old enough as a basketball fan to have watched robertson but i have watched all the others. but in the end i always think if any of these guys matched up against 5x peak lebron they probably lose.
lebron, giannis, KD seems like my top 3 choices atm

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
I feel like there’s a good chance Wilt destroys everyone. With his size speed and athleticism he’d be swatting shots left and right and I don’t even think Dirk or KD would be immune to this. Then I think 5 of him covers so much ground there would be an additive effect there aren’t a lot of gaps in that D to exploit even for a quick PG. Curry would spread it out but I still think he just plays him one on one and swats the **** out of just about everything curry tries to put up.
Then on the other side I don’t think there’s anyone that can stop him from scoring and 5 of them is just insane. He isn’t going to hit 3s but I don’t think that matters.

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
I focused on older generation players. Not sure how well they would fare, but I would be interested in watching:
Wilt Chamberlain
Bill Russell
Larry Bird
Magic Johnson
Dominique Wilkins
Larry Nance
Alex English
Bernard King
George McGinnis

matrix because on defense he'd probably do fine vs all positions except the elite bigs and on offense, the added tilt factor of seeing that shot go in over and over again would mentally devastate the opposition

The answer to any hypothetical question about the NBA is always Wilt Chamberlin.

i think wilt would adjust to the little guys, and after he gets it it'll be lights out
defensively he'll take out each player on 1on1. no need for schemes

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
for older generation players, how about 5x havlicek? slider to max for scoring and passing. enough dribble to get it done. idk about the defense and rebounding though.

Re: copy-paste one player 5x to make a good team
My first answer would be Giannis.
If I wanted to watch the Harlem Globetrotters then it would be Jokic x5.
For laughs I would love an Artest x5 Vs Draymond x5. No one gets off the court alive.

The LeBron clones on offence (guys who can do almost everything), like Jokic, Luka, Harden, etc. are slow and don't play defence.
Other guys who are really good individual players (Jordan, Kobe, Hakeem, Duncan, etc.) are too small or too big to play every position and don't have enough offensive versatility.
I'd probably try it with one of the big, offensively versatile wings like Luka or Harden.
Would we be able to do multiple versions of a player?

you can pick the version of a player you like best, but its one guy at one point in time. so like, you could not have rookie lebron, 2008 lebron, 2012 lebron, lebron after he figured out a consistent jumper, etc. that said, you do get to assume perfect health so for fragile guys that are rarely at their best like kawhi and porzingis, you can take whatever you feel like the most dominant version of them is, and copy paste that even if it was an injury season.
tl;dr you can have non-injury diminished grant hill or greg oden if you want. but you cant have 5 different point in time lebrons.
edit: i realize the perfect health assumption is a bit troublesome but the reason i wanted to think this through with all of you is to see who everyone thinks the "most complete" players we've seen are. and if someone was on that path but had their career derailed by injury like a shaun livingston or bill walton, i want them to be included.

5 LeBrons would be too much chalk dust for any opposing team.

Maybe now, but you can watch highlights of him guarding the perimeter in the past.

Not sure how you ever stop that.
Didn't have a consistent enough outside shot and didn't extend his 3 point range past 25 ft until past his prime.
5 prime Lebrons would be amazing but also terrible spacing.
Would lose against 5 wembys or kds
