Another guard? Why?

We should be focused on wings ala Coward, Essengue, Murray Boyles, Powell, Bryant etc..
or some safer center picks ala Sorber, Raynoud as late pick via possible traded pick..
Malauch will be gone by then I assume..

If we're talking about the 12th pick, I agree, but with the 45th pick the Bulls should just be looking for talent with legitimate rotation potential. The Bulls will more than likely trade Lonzo Ball, and Tre Jones is more than likely gone in free agency. Javon Small is first round level talent that will bring instant value to a team, especially getting him in the second round. In reality, Small should be long gone by pick 45.

KOC has officially mocked Drake Powell to the Bulls at 12, ahead of Maluach (14) and Demin (19)!!!

Could this be the Chandler Hutchison Promise 2.0???

There are lots of reasons I find this mock hard to take seriously.

He claims its based on intel / rumblings hes heard around the league. Who knows. If we pass on Maluach, Demin, and KJ, that will be a tough pill to swallow

He can claim whatever he wants. If the real draft looks anything like that I will eat my shoe.

Very productive player. Super athletic. If he was 4-5 inches taller he'd be a first rounder for sure.

Definitely. I keep doing research on bigs and keep finding more gems deep in the 2nd. We honestly might be able to find a rotational center with our 2nd. Definitely if we buy an early 2nd.

It’s just clickbait differentiating himself from the other mocks.

Tankathon has him 48.

Seems a lot like a smaller Ayo with a much higher volume 3.

He also moves a bit like Cason Wallace. Need to watch his D. Could be a good find.

2nd round is all about finding players that can stick. He's talented, but as guard heavy as we currently are, I'm not sure he sees any time outside of the G-League. Before FA we have (Coby, Ball, Giddey, Ayo, Carter, Heurter). And if Tre stays, there's no chance he gets a chance to play.

He plays D a lot like Davion Mitchell and Tre Jones.

We need a backup PG because Zo is not long term, Tre probably won’t be back, and Ayo and Coby aren’t PG’s.

We also need a stud small guard defender for the crazy quick guys around the league. Small is a great fit on this team. I think he goes late 1st early 2nd. He’s an absolute dog and tons of fun to watch. He’d be running and gunning with us.

88% FT on 5+ per game.
35% on 7.3 3s. Tons of those were self created off the bounce. Really tough shots.
He’s a good passer but more of a scoring PG. Not a passing pure PG. We need a bucket getter off the bench he could fit all 3 of bucket getter, small guard defender and backup PG.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Carter Bryant is still my guy. Not so much for the skillset or anything I've seen on the court, but off the court. He might be raw, but he's a well-spoken young guy who knows he is a student of the game, and I think that can go a long way to maximizing his potential in the long term. But alas, he's just a "3&D" guy.

If we can have a high IQ (hopefully) solid 3&D player with a good motor... well, isn't that what we all wanted out of PWill? Problem is, I think he'll be in the top 8 somewhere

Its actually a good find, very interesting player, maybe could be Tre Jones replacement, also you are right about Lonzo, he could be gone soon, so then we would actually need someone like Small.

Cowley with his update…

Says AK puts out lots of misdirection.

Convinced Demin is the guy at 12 but he will be picked inside top 10.

I hate Bulls media outside of KC with a passion. And that beard thing doesn't help.

It honestly could be, especially with how stacked the second round is. I could see any of Raynaud/Ziccarsky/Kalkbrenner/Beringer/Yang working out.

Add in Maluach, Queen Wolf, Newell and Sorber and it has some serious potential. This is also why I want BPA at #12 but to circle back for one of these guys with 45.

Being that you can never have enough good shooters I'm still hoping to draft Koby Brea at #45. He probably isn't athletic enough to be a star but neither was Steve Kerr and yet he was a good guy to have on the roster. Brea is one of the best shooters in the Draft. He can shoot it over 40% from "3" off movement, in transition or catch and shoot set ups. Very good balance on his shot, he squares up really well. And he has a little "juke" in him. Nice quick release and from a 6' 7" frame. And he's not a total liability on defense. We can always use shooting in a league that now values the "3" to an absurd degree.

I'm not arguing his talent. I said he's highly productive. I'm saying there aren't any minutes for another guard. Regardless if you see Coby and Ayo as PGs, they will log the majority of the minutes there. Then you have the two wing spots where Giddey/Matas/Huerter/ will see heavy minutes.

He’s 3rd string and will have to earn his mins.

I think one of Zo or Ayo gets traded with Vuc for a rotation player. Ideally a player that fits with the core.

Ayo/Wing Pick/Small
Coby/ Trade
Giddey/Huerter
Buz/Pat
Collins/Smith/Pick
