2000 points/ 82 games equal 25 points per game shooting 50 percent or better.
For evaluation purposes - do you look at per 36 minute stats? So, 50%, 25 point per game (36 minutes) to normalize the numbers?
Extremely rare for a guard to accomplish this feat:

Shai is in rare territory.

you can't expect much from 19 y/o point guards playing with other young players and useless vets on a tanking team to show much. I know it's all the rage on this board but it's pretty pointless trying. All anyone should be doing is looking for flashes. Does the player have the requisite size/length/athleticism and do they work hard to improve.
Once upon a time a team drafted a skinny 19 y/o from overseas. He put up a paltry 7/4/2 with a 51%TS on a 15 win team. If you had judged him for that and drafted a supposedly superior prospect that played his position that would steal his developmental minutes in the next draft you might not have gotten a chance to witness Giannis' ascension. I'm not saying any of these kids on the Wizards or Jazz are Giannis level talents but neither should anyone write them off and ask to draft their replacements before they've reached their 2nd NBA season.

Agree 100%, it's funny how 1st year rookies are dismissed when they are on other teams, while at the same time encouraging patience and growth time for players on their team. However, one can identify areas of strengths and weaknesses of a player early-on.

Another Center prospect scheduled for a Wiz workout, the more 2nd round Centers we look at, the more I am inclined to believe that Bailey, Johnson, Fears are the target at 6, and perhaps a PF at 18.

Greg Finberg proposes the Wizards consider trading back with Brooklyn for 8 & 26....
https://www.bulletsforever.com/2025/5/29/24438835/a-pair-of-wizards-draft-night-trades-to-consider
I think I would do that. At 8 we should still be able to get Bryant. At 18 we can nab Powell. And at 26 we should be able to get one of Sorber/Neidenhauser/Kalkbrenner/Fleming/Raynaud/Yang (preference Sorber or Niedenhauser).
And we'd still have 40 to use on a draft and stash like Gonzalez, Markovic, Ruzic, Grunloh.

Lick I always say, it's best to lick at it this way -- if you're licky, your key unlicks every lick. There's no lick of sand, whether you're in the desert or by the lick. & always remember: water the flowers before the watering can starts to lick....

I can see BKN doing this if Fears is still on the board at #6. Maybe for Tre Johnson as well? NOP would seemingly also be looking for a guard at #7.
I’d be all for it, especially if we can package future 2nds to both #18 and #26 to move up a few spots and target the better guard prospects in my mind, Traore and Richardson.

I"ve been suggesting a trade w/ Brooklyn ever since the lottery. But I can't imagine the Nets giving us 26 (or 27) just to move up two spots from 8 to 6. If they really want 6, they might give us their 3 R1 picks for our 2. Maybe also swapping their 36 for our 40.
I'd grab that deal.

Traore is forsure going in the 5-10 range. All teams that will be looking at guards.

Probably hurts our SRP, maybe our FRP (give Lendeborg withdraw).

"I think" more of a 6 to 14 range. But I guess we are close. I could see the Wizards selecting him - maybe. Then it drops to Brooklyn, Portland, Orlando and then Minny. I just don't see any way he gets to 18

I think the more likely trade partner is OKC as they might want to consolidate their picks.
I think Brooklyn wants many picks given their situation

Every year...lol.
Essengue, Traore, Sorber, and Bryant were the guys I liked for 18, and now that appears to be out.
Wolf, Fleming, Penda, Hugo, Coward, Lendeborg, and Byrd were all guys I was targeting late and now they have all risen or went back to school.

Not a chance in the world that the Nets would go for that.

I think trading up from 18 is the way to go. Jase Richardson looks to be falling into that range….for whatever reason. Think he’s a better prospect than Fears, who is apparently a top 5 lock???

Sure there is. We paid two SRP's to move up from 8 to 7. Moving up from 8 to 6 is a little tougher, so figure 3 SRP's, which is about equal to one late FRP.
