I know jroy will politely decline, but is it fair?

Only if there is a secondary trade to send Knecht out for value

I wouldn’t trust that source but if he was 2-3 first round pick with one being late lotto.

There’s already excess value in the offer . Take it and figure it out later. Unless you believe knecht is already not an NBA player/prospect.

Interesting to see what Houston does with FVV. He's clearly not worth his contract, but he's still a great guy to have. If you decline the team option, do you keep the bird rights? Or are they forced to choose between FVV at 45mill or not having FVV at all?

Houston would still have his Bird rights (maybe only early Bird as I think he's only been there 2 seasons but that won't matter as they'll be able to offer a 1st year salary up to his contract last season and that's more than makes sense).

They're expected to decline the TO and sign him to a more reasonable multi-year deal as he's pretty essential for them.

If I owned a team this would be my status almost every year, doesn't mean they're cheap and easy to get though.

I will just listen to the offers

Yup. Houston would have early Bird rights if they decline FVV’s option, meaning they could resign him for up to 175% of his salary this year, which is plenty to offer them flexibility even up to his max.

I have Houston and FVV agreeing to a longer deal that is lower in 25/26 than his option, and opting out to sign it asap. I think this is probably clear and exhibited by the mutual agreement to push back his option deadline.

Yeah I don't find that situation particularly interesting, if he isn't back it's because his salary is needed in after an opt for a big trade but that's pretty unlikely

If Brooklyn offers $25 Million in 2025-26 on a frontloaded declining 4 year contract to Naz Reid... would Minnesota ownership match that?

Yeah.. I fixed it

His opt is and extend comes up to 100+/5, and would be structured in a very cap friendly way to MIN, I don't any team topping that offer realistically.

He just gave an example of 100/4 which tops the 100/5 you listed

I don't think Nets do it, and 100+/5 from a city you've been in for all of your career and well liked > from being signed for 100/4 as an asset to be traded.

How far a Knecht + Vincent for Gafford trade is?

Lakers get that much needed Center and Dallas a (probably) sharpshooter to follow Flagg and a stopgap pg to help till Kyrie returns, while opening a frontcourt slot.

I think it's a great asset to Dallas,

I do like for the Mavs for the 3 cheap years of Dalton, even if he doesnt improve much, his shooting is useful. Is Lively healthy enough to cover the Center minutes with AD?

I am not sure Vincent would be playing in the NBA next season were it not for already being signed.

It's off. So Lakers fleece Mavs in Feb so now it will be a regular thing? Vincent is garbage and Knect is jag.
