People always trash talk Lakers players as if they don’t belong in the league until they play for another team. Then wondering why we’re the Lakers dumb enough to get rid of them?
Lakers fans also have a long history of propping up every role player that's had a semi decent game. Today's hero, Thomas Bryant l, once had a dedicated thread on the general board about how the Lakers won the offseason because they acquired his services. A few weeks later, he was no longer with the team.
These things go both ways. The backlash to disproportionately overrating players is that other people will start bashing these same players as a response.
