I generally agree with your posts about the team but I think you should enjoy the team right now bro. Don’t take this time for granted

We will have a whole summer to discuss about potential trades and coach candidates, but right now let's just embrace the moment and get behind the team.

Yep. The mission is to get to get out of Indiana with a 3-3 tie headed back to the Garden. Nothing else matters.

Waiting until being on the brink of elimination to play Shamet and Delon Wright is a fireable offense. We would not be scrapping to save a series had he utilized the veteran bench guys that he asked for. If he is going to regulate Dadiet, Kolek, and Hukporti to the bench for an entire season, then at the very least play the veterans that were signed. Let me add that Siakam is eating this series and somehow we cant find minutes for either Achiuwa or PJ Tucker.

Thibs has brought a scrappy and winning culture to this team but his in game rotation decisions put a cap on his effectiveness. I'll give him credit for adjusting at the final hour, but why did it take desperation?

We just saw Finch put Shannon jr in for the first time. Carislie started playing Tony Bradley out of nowhere. OKC’s coach just took Jaylin Williams out of the rotation after he played a bit against Denver. I feel like you guys don’t watch other teams. A lot of teams are making adjustments at the final hour.
They don't. That's why people want Mike Malone. Hey, I know that name!

I said the ankle will take longer than the remaining 6 weeks to stabilize and I was right, evidenced by Brunson limping through round 1.

The only real misjudgement I had was in the Boston series and I think like 95% of the basketball world didn't see it coming. Actually I feel like the Pacer series kind of confirms the Celtics series was kind of flukish. But there is a paradox in all this: Actually the guys that want a coaching change generally see the players and see more potential and better play in them---hence why they dislike Thibs and want a coaching change.

On the other hand the Pro-Thibs fraction pretty much states that he is maximizing the roster....which if you look at the big picture has the Knicks actually doomed: If this is the maximum you can get out of this roster, and we have close to zero assets to improve this....then what is the real perspective for the next 3-4 seasons? Losing to a mid Pacer team over and over again?

For anyone thinking "These Pacers are really good and underestimated"....just watch the finals....2 weeks from now the outlook of the Pacers will look different....which in turn does not bode well for the Knicks...
So unless you win a championship you have no hope for the Knicks yet you're a fan of a team that hasn't won in 50 yrars and hasn't been final four in 25. Just enjoy the damn ride like you have been.

These are all the players fans said Thibs was not maximizing
Fournier
Frank
RJ
Obi
Reddish
Kemba
Jacob Toppin

Many of them are out of the league or not doing anything special under supposedly better coaches. Carlisle is using Obi the same way but if Obi was still here fans would be crying that Thibs should be starting him or whatever. All season we all said the Knicks could never beat the Celtics without roster improvements or a new coach and we did.

wut? lmao this is straight delirious. Every single one was being teared by the fans. And because a players is **** doesn't mean u can maximize him. And no Carlisle is not using Obi the same way.

We're going to add KAT and Delon Wright to the list after they go to another team lol

Things that Thibs figured out during the Pacers series:

1. Delon Wright >> Cam Payne.
2. Shamet can play very effectively for 10-15 minutes when KAT is in the lineup.
3. Starters are most effective when playing 35 minutes, not 40+.
4. Brunson can play defense when he's not playing 44 minutes per game.

I honestly think thibs ruined fourniers nba carreer. He was a near 40% 3pt shooter when we desperately needed shooting and thibs put him in the doghouse for no good reason. yea, he was a bad defender but so were most of the other players on that roster.

other than that id agree. all these playerrs pretty much have peaked and kemba was washed and old.
im bout dat action boss

Would be crazy to let him go after progressing to the ECF. Just make a few upgrades without major changes and get to the finals next season.

Where was Mitch? Who controls who plays? There's your problem and it needs to be answered!

Immediately! Get this guy out here.

No. I’d start to doubt the management if they make a coaching change now.

He could’ve figured that out maybe 40 games ago and we would’ve swept them. He needs to go.

If we start the season with thibs coaching we’re unserious about competing for a ring.

Modern Basketball has passed him by.

A good coach gets KAT 4-5 open 3's a game.

Return to New York Knicks
