Thibs has brought a scrappy and winning culture to this team but his in game rotation decisions put a cap on his effectiveness. I'll give him credit for adjusting at the final hour, but why did it take desperation?
We just saw Finch put Shannon jr in for the first time. Carislie started playing Tony Bradley out of nowhere. OKC’s coach just took Jaylin Williams out of the rotation after he played a bit against Denver. I feel like you guys don’t watch other teams. A lot of teams are making adjustments at the final hour.

I said the ankle will take longer than the remaining 6 weeks to stabilize and I was right, evidenced by Brunson limping through round 1.
The only real misjudgement I had was in the Boston series and I think like 95% of the basketball world didn't see it coming. Actually I feel like the Pacer series kind of confirms the Celtics series was kind of flukish. But there is a paradox in all this: Actually the guys that want a coaching change generally see the players and see more potential and better play in them---hence why they dislike Thibs and want a coaching change.
On the other hand the Pro-Thibs fraction pretty much states that he is maximizing the roster....which if you look at the big picture has the Knicks actually doomed: If this is the maximum you can get out of this roster, and we have close to zero assets to improve this....then what is the real perspective for the next 3-4 seasons? Losing to a mid Pacer team over and over again?
For anyone thinking "These Pacers are really good and underestimated"....just watch the finals....2 weeks from now the outlook of the Pacers will look different....which in turn does not bode well for the Knicks...

Carlisle is using Obi the same way but if Obi was still here fans would be crying that Thibs should be starting him or whatever. All season we all said the Knicks could never beat the Celtics without roster improvements or a new coach and we did.
