Congrats to the Pacers. They're just so goddamn fast, I lost count how many times they made fastbreaks out of the Knicks' made shots or dead ball situations. It was like watching the Indy 500 out there lol.

Knicks lost this series in Games 1 & 2 (karma from the Celtics series?). Even I don't think this year's Celtics would've been able to beat these Pacers; they're just so relentless and poised, they would've run our tired legs to the ground.

Said it in the second round thread, Celtics knew they didn’t have it in them this year.

Congrats to the Pacers but teams that start that flat always get waxed in the finals it’s not a place for Johnny come latelies.

I was at game 6 at msg vs celtics draped in celtics green and hat, these mfs had the mania and audacity that day, it was like they won a game 7 championship .

Lol.. I realize you are notaknickfan :) but certainly. There are worse franchises than new york.. Washington and charlotte are first to come to mind.

I also hate the lakers far more..

And I think the miami heat fan base is a joke..

I would hate philly, but we always beat them..

So in theory, I guess maybe new york is top three.

No NYK are the worst, trust me on this, and its the sheer amount of numbers / fans they have, later i was told i was crazy for wearing celtics gear there, i had seats at 108 row , shook hands with wyc who was happy to see a celtics fan and he showed me last years championship ring.

When i left the game i was surrounded by 100000 knicks fans outside, crazy scene

I'm just hoping to see the Celtics 1 more time playing in June for the next 7 years.

Guess Banner 19 will be good enough in the Tatum era.

indiana seems like the most Celtics adjacent team in the league. Larry Bird, Brad Stevens, Aaron Nesmith, Rick Carlisle ... lots of cross connestions between Celtics basketball and the state of Indiana
I'm definitely gonna be rooting for Indy in the Finals

Add Quinn Buckner who played for Indiana in college, Romeo Langford, Tyler Zeller, and Gordon Hayward.

I like both teams in the finals. both play an exciting style, both well coached, both have likable stars, both are fresh and hungry. i'd be surprised if the pacers can keep it up against OKC's D and win more than a game or two but it should be a fun series.

Only one team plays exciting style, only one has likeable players (foul merchant isn't one of them), only one is permitted to hack at will and plays off of it

I really hope IND will win

Tired legs IMO have come from a player's coach who humors his stars by playing them as many minutes, and giving them as many touches, as they want for climbing league leader boards.

Carlisle had the Pacers up to 11 players while the game was still very much in contention last night, as has been the case through the playoffs. Even with the injuries, Joe only went 9 deep.

Through the season, the Pacers' top player averaged fewer minutes per game through the season than did the C's top three players.

They also took the first month of the season off too that helps.

Funniest part about the Knicks though is they’d be in the Giannis sweepstakes if they had t blown all their assets for Bridges.

I am just glad all the smug NYK fans, minus Larry David, get to suffer from a sporting perspective. Screw them all, minus LD again. Does it take the sting from losing to them away a little? Well, yes it does. Misery loves company and I know they are more miserable than me, as I am not.

My two takeaways from the Conference Finals:

The EC will continue to be there for taking by the Cs even next season if JTs recovery goes well and he decides to comeback for a playoff run.

If that did happen, Brad will have had to worked some serious magic to the roster to have a team that could compete with OKC. Improving our interior defense and adding legit ball handlers who can make it possible for us to play less Mazzula-ball.

Is it possible to do that and bring down the payroll?

Pretty sure the East will be wide open tho…
