I would actually do this trade. I love KAT, love his modern game. I've said this a few times already, I've always thought putting effort on defense is half the battle. He does that but holy fck, he is dumb as rocks on the defensive end but then is Albert Einstein on the offense. I don't get it.

With KD, you have a bucket getter and will actually demand the ball from Brunson during crunch time. Too many times KAT is sitting somewhere and watching Brunson. KD is also a great help defender and perimeter defender. KD also has 2 years left on the deal compare to KAT.

another ball handler and creator too. it's a much better fit. gonna have to find a way to get a decent backup center too. don't know if capela or horford will take the tax mle. seems too hopeful.

Yeah I don't get the Giannis dream anyways even if we traded for Giannis, whatever it would cost us would leave us with major holes at the big man spot.. I don't think Brunson and Giannis and a skeleton roster is enough to do anything more than we did this year..

I think Jalen would be the one going out for Giannis, since Giannis would be the PG on the Knicks.

There is zero chance the Knicks trade Brunson. Zero.

I think you can be a championship team with those 2, I think it'd be best to stagger their minutes most of the game and we need to play KAT with a defensive C or PF in the playoffs to close out games

Not realistic, unless you have a stacked bench with tons of depth

I think we need to break up Villanova for a piece that fits better at guard next to Brunson. Like a better Wright. We're a little redundant on offense. Whether that's Mikal or Hart and moving Mikal to SF that's what I think will do it.

Ruffle the feathers. We're here to compete for something now.

Orlando will get healthier, better and we struggled against them

In your premise that would mean the Knicks would not have the ability to get better, which is not the case…

We have for both Giannis and Booker actually :)

In that context we might keep Mitch too :)

Towns for Giannis
Mikal, Hart and Achiuwa for Booker

Mitch / Hukporti / Tucker
Giannis / Finney Smith / vet
Anunoby / Shamet / Dadiet
Booker / McBride / McCullar
Brunson / Wright / Kolek

With all due respect, go away.

Jalen and Giannis don't fit unless Giannis moves to the Center position.

Durant will be 37 when the season starts. That type of trade would be a mistake

Red Vines wrote:KAT defense is bad BUT if you had a coach who could maximize his offensive impact AND get him to slightly improve, it would make a huge difference.

That's really tough. I think Jokic is the model for that and Jokic is a damn PG, triple double machine hall of famer, who has made himself into a pretty smart defender that still has limitations. Even if we take Embiid, who is a playoff choker, the fact that he plays really good defense gives him a floor that is pretty damn high.

I'm still a Brunson guy and I do have concerns about him and KAT. People are gonna hate me for this one, but I'd try to call up Miami and see if they'd bite on a KAT for Adebayo+ deal.

Teams adjusted in January. Thibs/KAT didn't adjust thereafter.

Yes because I think they'll ask for the players feedback and it won't be good, despite what they say in public. And it will be a big issue when trying to attract free agents and making trades.

Hukporti is just fine plus we can get Kessler too (Hukporti, Dadiet and a 2nd for him)

Lets see if we can get Grimes or a 3&D PF who can rebound and guard the perimeter with the tax MLE (Dorian Finney Smith, Portis or Yabussele)

We don't have what it takes to get Giannis, KAT will be back, add to the bench, try to get Divo, see what a second full season of this team can do, they came close this year
