Phoenix on the other hand, cannot rebuild because of Booker and Beal's timeline. KAT for KD is doable here due to Phoenix unable to rebuild.

Getting KD and trading KAT basically closes our title window from 3 years to 1 year. If you think we can win it next year with KD then you do it. If not then it will set the franchise back a few years.

I;m afraid nothing will change and they will see the ECF appearance as progress and success and overlook everything that could have been better with the coaching

Thibs and Hart are basically saying this team won't be the same.

Does he fit better then KD? Where is he playing? What's the starting 5 look like?

Hart
Bridges
OG
KD
Mitch

Idk seem like we will go through another year of gelling with a big trade like that, KD is nasty but getting up in age. I'm sure they will make the rite decision but 90% KAT is back

because your likely never going to be as healthy...and have the pathway this year.

you have to take every advantage and we fell short.

I also don't see the FO making the necessary changes to win a championship....and yes the coach is part of the issue. Not the only issue but certainly part of it.

I think the path remains just as open. Boston is worse, Cavs are still post season Dudes, Indy just beat us but we could just as easily beaten them. switch the coach, tweak the starting lineup, add to the Bench and we are favorites in the East IMO.

I don't see those guys going anywhere, how do we improve the roster and get closer? Is another year of geling enough?

Bring back Landry Shamet, because not only can he shoot the 3 pointer on catch and shoot but also while moving, and he can defend at the point of attack.

Yes I do like Shamet, is there a way we can add Divo? That man is a Knick at heart

Way over pay of a trade , I would never do that.

If you replace Jalen with Giannis it's the same team but one guy(Giannis) is actually going to pass the ball.

Guys just be saying whatever to push their narratives.

You're right. Our eyes are lying. The experts on this -- who were calling this **** out during the game -- are lying.

Also, it's **** Thibs, dude.

our eyes show that KAT played 38 minutes...the most on the team.

But somehow he was staging a mutiny rebelling against Thibs the whole game and Thibs decided: "great job KAT, you get THE MOST minutes for being a rebel all game!!"

My man, how many more soundbites you need to hear until you realize KAT is the one OG, Hart, JB, and others were talking about?

Never mind all that.

Him playing 38 minutes isn't something to go home on. He was **** the bed on D, **** the bed on O. He was missing FT's, missed all his 3's. He's not in there because he was playing well. He was in there because Thibs is a freakin' idiot.

Delon was ok defensively but he had to make those open 3s, when he didn't that's when you know it's not his night

I want him back next season

Lose that series and Thibs is on the hot seat.

And he's a big reason why this team cannot get over the hump.

Our biggest series win in the last 25. Ending the Cs... im not taking that as an L

He's a perfect example of having a great coach. This is why the knicks need a Brillant coaching mind leading this team. Thibs can not
get the full potential out of this group.

The "bum" Obi Toppin that Thibs had no use for was in crunch time making backbreaking plays en route to our elimination.

I was never the type of fan that said coaches dont make a difference or theyre not needed but watching 82 games this season plus every play off game.
Compound that with whatever knowledge and wisdom I've attained at this point in life. I can tell you with certainty. The coach is just as important as the players. If Carlisle was the coach of this team - we would win the chip this year.

If we trade KD for KAT... this isn't a total new team.. we still get to keep most of the core. It's different compared to last offseason where there were bigggggg changes. KD for KAT will minimize these big shifts.

Brunson | Kolek
Bridges | Deuce | Burks
OG | Bojan Bogdanovic
KD | Hart
Mitch | Brook Lopez | Hokporti

I would look into signing minimum vet deals with Bojan Bogdanovic (hopefully he is healthy again), Brook Lopez/Thomas Bryant, Alec Burks

For Tax MLE - if Kelly Oubre opts out
