Anunoby for Allen and Max Strus would be very interesting.

Bridges for Allen should be considered

Trade OG

Post#502 » by GettinitDone » Sun Jun 1, 2025 3:11 am

I know it sounds insane but hear me out

He was mostly great in regular season but up and down in playoffs including on the defensive end

This was his healthiest season but that's due to Casey Smith and his team taking care of him... but imo even with Smith I wouldn't bet on OG having 2 consecutive healthy seasons... he's bound to disappoint health wise and his defense while good, is no shut down All 1st Team Defense

I'm saying let's SELL HIGH while he's healthy, the last thing we want is next season he's injured for 1-2 months and he's not even on the court, and his trade value is nowhere near today's when we need a player to be contributing and playing

Best skill is availability, we need to sell high

I bet there's a team that views him as a rising all star

Fire Thibs yes, Trade KAT yes, but also trade OG

What you smoking

OG stays. Villanova boys need to go. I’ll start with JB for Dallas 1st pick and K.Irving.

No to Durant

Kolek should be our new PG starter with Mike Malone running the show.

That's wacky, JB is untouchable

I like the creativity though with Flagg/ Harper + Irving for JB

I just hope Leon realized how many players need to go. Kat, mikal are musts. Josh hart was awful this entire series. He can go too. Thibs also

But he was mostly invisible from G1 Celtics series until tonight

Defensively up and down, not on Lu Dort's or Amen Thompson's levels, not even on Jalen Williams' level

You don't trade players like OG. He's top 5 defensive player and his offense has been coming along nicely. He's the ultimate type of player to have on a championship team.

Why would they give him that contract to then move him, especially after having a quality season?

Are we talking about a 3rd year player who’s becoming extension eligible or an 8 year vet on a max contract entering his age 28 season.

I’m all for selling high on OG - even though he’s a better player than Bridges

No one is putting OG as option 1 or 2 on this team. He's excellent as an option 3. In fact you won't find a better two way player than him as an option 3 in the NBA.

KAT and Brunson both stunk it up this game.

KAT took 19 shots for 22 points
Brunson took 18 shots for 19 points

However KAT is making way more money….

So KAT should be the one to go. Sometimes he looks unstoppable but he’s way too inconsistent. We seen it throughout the whole playoffs. Some games he is unstoppable the next game the same players have him having a night like tonight.

Move KAT and get some depth and if another better fitting star comes along they can build a package.

Brunson was down right bad tonight. Should we consider trading him for a clear upgrade? Yes we should. But is this his fault? No. Thibs and KAt are most to blame followed by hart and Malal. All can go

Brunson has looked bad through this whole series. More ball handlers and self creators or needed on the roster.

The front office wanted to put the ball in his hands more but that means there is no other engine the team can run on when he is having a bad game.
