Why would any team trade anything good for a 1 way 30 year old center making $53/$57/$60 million next 3 years? Just gibberish to think otherwise. We traded a neutral value Randle who was at least expiring this Summer and a roleplayer on a sane contract in Donte for KAT. He's older, and just confirmed his problems are his.

We have 1 positive value contract, Brunson. Trade him. Tank in the 1 year we have our pick for the next half decade.

Trading for the hope to win a title in my lifetime. How are we winning anything with this roster and only 1 pick under control for 6 years? Let alone giving poor Brunson a chance to play for a contender, or a real coach. His contract is pretty good, he'd net a few 1sts and a good young player. No other contracts are positive value, some are atrocious ( OG owed $164,000,000).

I don't think its anything crazy to be honest, but I had a feeling for awhile that, to your point, something was off all season.

I feel like the Knicks are in a position where the moves that they need to make to improve will make waves. Namely, I think one of Hart or Bridges needs to go.

There is also, of course, the question of coaching and that comes down to a serious eval of who is available.

If this is Fred Katz... he's one of the best writers in the NBA. Nah, I don't he writes hit pieces. He explains his thought process. Why would he drop a hit piece during the playoffs. Most of the time, these happens after eliminations or season is over.

Katz discussed this a couple of weeks ago.

If he did.. then there is no surprises. Katz isn't the type that has no sources. He has a lot of good sources due to his goodwill when he was a beat writer for the Knicks in past years.

After game 5 Kat sat down with the TNT crew. Chuck asked him why do you take those dumb fouls. Kat didn't have a good answer, just I have to do better for the team. Like, how does he not know at this stage of his career not to just push and hold and set moving screens so obviously.

Tonight he avoided foul trouble by playing too far back on screens which hurt us down the stretch. SVG pointed it out a few times, and once said Bridges was frustrated with him not coming up higher on Hali.

Seems like playing him with Mitch isn't the answer either because then he gets stuck guarding a Siakam which is also a problem. I just don't know how far a team can go with Kat's defense, unless he scores 30 a game at the other end

Josh...I like Josh a lot. But he isn't a starter and should be a 6th man.

I think his minutes need to be cut and he should be used as a change of pace energy player.

Loved Kat in college, hated him when he played in the league, forgot all the hate I had for him when he got rid of Randle.

This is who he is. He’s an emotional guy who plays based on how he feels at the moment. That’s dangerous.

You either build with him to help integrate his offense with a coach and teammates that will support him or you ship him out and wash your hands. If you bring back Thibs and still have Brunson on this team, you’re telling the roster and fans we’re not serious about a championship.

Also, also, if you plan on keeping everybody, KAT gotta come off the bench. Him and Brun don’t work together for long periods of time.
