OKC easily has the better defense so no reason to pick against them.

ball movement might be a bad idea considering how well okc funnels offenses to deflectable and turnover prone passes.

I am not surprised by our run. I was pretty confident we were going to win against both the Knicks and the bucks. I also thought we could beat the cavs because we had enough to limit their backcourt.

Saying that i don't see how we can win against this okc team. They have depht, pretty much the only team that we are not going to out run and we are certainly going to get killed on the boards.

I think Carlisle i going to try to make it hard for williams, focus on 3pt defense and force SGA to beat us by himself.

If williams AVG more than 25 and okc shoots 35%+ from three we may get swept.

It'll be monumental task beating OKC. They are so good, so deep, maybe the only team as deep as us in the association.

Anything is possible, that's why they play'em.

OKC should be the easy favourites, but a part of me wants to see Siakam win another Ring as the #2 option after being counted out.

So much ignorance.

Not really. That OKC team was more talented but just too fresh & top heavy. If that core stayed together, I think they would've won some chips. This OKC team is way more balanced & deeper though & works beautifully in today's NBA.

Nah it's ignorance especially coming from a Warrior fan. OKC lost a title to a prime Bron's first real finals run i. 2012. They were heavy favorites to win 2013 but lost Westbrook in the first round. 2014 they had Ibaka missing for the 2 crucial games. 2015 Durant missed the entire season after 30 games or so due to injury. 2016 the roster was finally fully healthy and they won a series against a 67 win team and pushed a 73 win team to 7 games.

Meanwhile, the worshipped warriors won their first title when Kyrie and Love were both injured in the finals, lost the next season after being up 3-1, and won in 17 and 18 due to an unprecedented cap spike and KD choosing to be a snake.

You need a lot of luck to win an NBA title. Warriors were one of the luckiest ones to do this. "Old okc quatro had more talent but they never won" is something I'll never even hear from a Warrior fan.

People thinking the Thunder are going to walk over the Pacers in five games are going to be surprised when the series goes longer.

The Thunder choke out teams with their pressure defense. Indiana has Halliburton, who does a great job protecting the ball and making good decisions, along with two other point guards in Nembhard and McConnell. Siakam also has playmaking ability. They aren’t going to be fazed by the Thunder pressure like Minnesota was.

Second, the Pacers have the shooting, depth, youth and athleticism to compete with the Thunder. They also play at a fast pace that presents challenges to defend.

I think the Thunder win, but the series goes six or seven games.

^^^ as a Okc fan who watched all the games this year ^^^ this is definitely true.

I expect a crazy battle. Indiana seems like a miracle team to me. The most dangerous in existence to a Goliath.

Pacers in 5. Thunder are gonna be heavy favorites but by game 2 we are gonna see that the Pacers are a league above them.

I think Thunder fans are shaking in their boots cause they know they're about to get steam rolled.

Are they really that dominant? I kinda doubt they are worthy of those kinda odds

I'm not sure what the numbers were with the Knicks but weren't the Cavs also -2.5? At least that's what I remember a Cavs fan posting during that series.

I’m not personally fearful, but I am respectful of a dangerous opponent. It just wouldn’t be right if OKC didn’t have to go through the best of the best.

As a Magic fan I’m just happy to see a small market finals and that one of these ringless franchises finally get one on the books. Hopefully that’ll be a continuing trend over coming seasons *ahem*.

And all it takes is a rolled ankle, pulled hamstring or something else to change everything.

Thunder should probably win.

But it's ridiculous to think it's going to be a cakewalk.

Either team could win this in 6 imo.

Iwasawitness wrote:I’m very curious as to how OKC is going to deal with Siakam. He’s been a major matchup problem throughout the playoffs, and I see no reason as to why he doesn’t have his way with Chet in this one. And that depth of Indy is going to be unlike anything OKC has ever dealt with.

On the other side though, OKC is going to be without question the toughest defensive resistance Indy will be facing in these playoffs. It’ll be interesting to see what Indy does if they’re struggling with the perimeter defensive pressure.

SGA vs Haliburton is going to be a war. Can’t wait to see it.

I can see Chet causing a lot of issues to the pacers. I think OKC in 5, but would love an upset

The Pacers are scary with their speed, length and experience (Turner, Pascal). They can go toe-toe with OKC in terms of length and speed and while the overall talent advantage rests with Oklahoma, Indiana is a tough, intelligent and very skilled opponent that can easily win.

Siakam vs Chet might be the deciding factor in this series-Can OKC stop the Pacers transition game? Can JDub withstand the pressure from Nembhard and Nesmith without turning the ball over?

Indiana is the scariest team in the league to me (now that Boston is eliminated). Carlisle is a demon (in the same league as Spo IMHO) and a massive advantage for any franchise.

Head says Pacers in 6 but heart says OKC in 7

Yeah, it's much, much closer than people think
