If M-Wagner is happy in Orlando, his agent might request the team to decline him; where a new deal is already worked out.
We fans might hope that would be 3-years for 24M. But if management is happy with his play, I would not be surprised if it is 3-years for 35M.
M-Wagner makes sense in Magic blue. And Bitadze is insurance for Carter.
Tying up 30-40M in total annual salary for the C core is fine from an accounting perspective.

KCP also is HUGE off court, represents the Magic in a lot of public promotional things. Big mentor to a lot of the players and has recently said that he wants to bring a championship to Orlando (publicly). Words spoken like he has no doubt in his mind he’s here for the long haul.
This is not to say he’s untouchable, but I really don’t think Weltman and co. have the cojones to deal him so quickly given his representation (these things matter more than people think). I also have some inside info from his wife that makes me believe that if something did happen involving him it would be completely out of left field and certainly wasn’t expected (please don’t ask me too many questions about this).
I think the main pcs we’re dangling are:
Isaac/Anthony/Harris/Bitazde/Howard/Carter (and Black/TDS at a lesser extent) with the main value coming from draft pick equity.
I also think Orlando uses their MLE this season for someone like NAW (or more depth)

I think monk would thrive as a 6th man for us and we could even finish some games with Monk, Suggs, Franz, Durant and Paolo at small ball center.
The East is wide open and these moves could push us to the top.
