My 87th AD Trade Attempt [w/Mia&Tor]
I have to keep doing it until Nico is fired/AD traded or when Shams reports AD is set to miss 2 months for a runny nose
AD to Miami
Herro to Toronto
RJ Barrett, Duncan Robinson, 9th pick, 2029 Mia FRP (top 4 protection) to Dallas
Mia adds AD to Rozier/Jacquez/Wiggins/Bam. East is wide open and their size can wreak havoc. AD can play the 4 where he wants
Tor turns RJ into the better player Tyler Herro at the cost of their first.
Dallas paradigm shifts to build around Flagg. Adds a fellow Blue Devil and the only other player from Maine. Take the bpa at guard with the pick

Mavs shouldn't do this, either trade AD for futures or a good guard, RJ ain't it.

That's a pretty awful return for AD. RJ is neutral value if we're being kind. 9 and a future pick is nowhere near enough value.

I’d still like the Pistons to get involved. I don’t see them giving up their core young guys, but they could use future picks.
To get salaries close, I think Tobias, Fontecchio and Sasser. Then take whatever picks and swaps w minimal protection. And AD could play PF

Ya i like orlando more than toronto in this scenario
Kcp, anthony, 16, 2026 2nd best of phx/orl/was 1st is a better package than RJ/9 for herro.
I dont particularly like the idea of turning RJ and our pick into another SG even if herro is better. Need a 3/D player at SG to complement our current starting lineup

Re: My 87th AD Trade Attempt [w/Mia&Tor]
Miami makes a lot of sense for AD but do they have enough assets considering that they can't afford to lose Herro shot creation? Maybe something like Ware/Jovic/#20/2 barely protected 1sts/expiring contracts? Idk I want to move AD asap but that package still feels a bit underwhelming tbh.

That also feels like a terrible return for AD to me

Yup miami owes more value here. AD > Herro + 2029 1st

Re: My 87th AD Trade Attempt [w/Mia&Tor]
Herro is a good scorer but a terrible defender I am not sure how much Toronto values him over RJ plus 9 which could be Jakucionis, Demin, Fears, Jakucionis, Queen or Maluach. I rather roll the dice with RJ plus a prospect.
I can't see Dallas moving AD for that

The pairing of AD and Cade, together with solid supporting cast, together with the cap space to sign for more help in the FA market, will make the value of DET's future first diminish significantly.

No thanks for Miami. We need to add someone to Herro and Bam, not replace Herro with an older, injury prone player. Easy pass.

Re: My 87th AD Trade Attempt [w/Mia&Tor]
If AD can't even return a Herro-caliber guard, he's not getting traded (I don't think he's getting traded anyway). These packages with nuetral (or even negative) salary filler and middling picks isn't going to get it done.
